Hi guys - awwww I love coming home at the end of the day! oh has been off so the house is tidy :T dinner is on & I have the place to myself so sitting back with a coffee - bliss!
La E - boo sucks lovely!!! How dare they not snap up your fabulous self the moment they saw you. Its easy for me to say but really its their loss, what's meant for you, won't go past you :grouphug: (its a hug not a threesome :rotfl:)
NTBY - ok I have given this some thought and have a number of thoughts/questions
you've been saying recently that things have been really difficult - is that in the "life's throwing you some curve balls & you guys are coming through it together as a team" or is it (sorry I don't know how to put it sensitively
) that you aren't sure you guys will pull through? If its the 1st I'd say go for it, but if there's any doubt it might be the 2nd I'd say no. Hope that helps x DF as at 30/12/16

Pernicious wrote: »NTBY - I remember you were living together already which made it difficult to judge how serious you guys are, but after some thought I think you should go for it. My OH took me to Prague for my birthday not long after we got together (weeks!!) & I wasn't offended, just blown over with how lucky I am! I might not be the best person to advise though as our whole relationship moved quite quickly.
If you're really worried maybe just briefly mention taking him away somewhere for his birthday as it's a special one & see how he reacts. Good luck xxdetermined_new_ms wrote: »NTBY - ok I have given this some thought and have a number of thoughts/questions

I didn't get that job I went for. Got back all the usual feedback about being a strong candidate but another candidate had more relevant experience, how it was a tough decision blah blah blah and how I should stay in touch about future vacancies etc. Oh well, I was getting a bit stressed about how busy April was going to be for me so at least that's one thing off my mind for now. Will see what payrise they offer me here and decide whether to start looking again come May/June time. Nothing lost by applying and trying my luck - I got a bit of interview experience and it helped me realise what I'd miss about not working here - more holidays, less hours per week, better office location, 10 half days leave through flexitime a year, dress down days, free bar nights, free tea and a proper coffee pot, free sparkling water…It is the small things that make all the difference after all!

La E - Totally agree with both yourself and DNMS, sometimes it really is all just about the "small things" and I most definitely think "whats meant for you, wont go past you":)Goodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

Evening all
Another late check in from me, after another stressy day. I seem to be on a real rollercoaster at the moment. Work is tough, and OH has just been given another 2 week sicknote. So not only is he still ill, we still have no decent money coming in on his side.
NTBY - I think if you want to, and you can afford it then you should go for the holiday. Before kids, OH and I used to have lots of little breaks etc. It's my birthday in a couple of weeks, and I think after 10 years I'm going to be lucky if I even get a card.
LaE - sorry that you didn't get the job. At least you've managed to look on the bright side and get some feedback. I tried to call 5 times for feedback when I didn't get a job a few weeks ago and never got a callback.
Too busy to get much done today, however,
checked banking
looked for jobs

By the way perni, thanks for the cake advice on yesterday's thread. I never thought choosing a cake would be as much of a pain as it's turning out to be...
I'm going to contact a couple of local places and see what they can quote me.
And I totally agree about fruit cake, but I'm not as generous as you - I don't care if people want it, I'm not having it.Ninja Saving Turtle0
