Justwantahouse it took me ages to get Mr LW to understand the concept of washing up before going to bed.:D But there's nothing worse than coming through in the morning to a pile of dirty dishes. Nowadays we just have the mugs from the hot chocolate we take to bed.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Back from Donny, had a lovely time, didn't go too mad, but almost 3 months without a good mooch round was enjoyable. DH was wanting to "play" with the caravan, so I persuaded him to stay and do that else he would have been saying, where else to you want to go, and what do you want from there, YKWIM.
Took some surplus wool from DS's blanket back to the stall, and they credited it np, and I got some pink baby wool for a Spanish neighbours new granddaughter due in June. Not sure what I am making yet, will have a browse of the patterns later. Go some nice sausages (Lincolnshire Pork and Welsh Dragon) and some burgers, the lady on the stall when I asked for 4 said, it is only another 4p to have 5, so had to do that. Also got a Huntsman Pie (Pork & Chicken with S&O stuffing on the top), and some cooked meat for sandwiches. Went to the free range egg stall, Extra Lg £2 dozen, Pullet £1 dozen, and cracked 50p dozen. I like pullet eggs, although small, usually have more taste. Got some Strawberries £1, Blueberries £1 and Raspberries £1.20 so trying to be healthy.
Visited both £land and £world.(Stadrops in there there at £1:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
Mooched around Primarmi, BHS & Boots. Forgot to go to Wilkinsons:o Then drove on to Matalan, where I got some new swimwear, knee length shorts, and a vest top. On to Tesco to fill up the car ready for the weekend. On the way back drove the country lanes way home, I don't get to drive as much these days, and it was nice to just meander enjoying the spring countryside and the sunshine.:T:T
Enough of me rabbiting on, Dundee Doll hope your results are OK. Lou just take it steady, DS will be OK left at nursery for a day. To everyone else, hurting, fed up, skint, or just CBA ((((hugs)))) Take care. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Good Heavens! Weekends seem to go on longer and be even more frenetic these days. Haven't been near my computer for days so it's been sulking today. Think I have beaten it into submission now though.
Have just had a mosey through the last few days' posts to make sure that no terrible disasters have taken place- otherwise I'm sure to have put my foot in it.
Beemuzed: You have inspired me. I also have a dearly loved but financial baby DS. He might be in his 40's but he still knows how to touch his soft mum's heart, not to mention her purse. But no more! With your fine example this heart is now hardened and this purse padlocked.
Taplady: Those paintings are beautiful. Particularly 'Norfolk'. Honestly, I could trail my fingers through that water. You really do have a rare talent.
Lou: Wretched hormones! Where did they come from? And please, what is a jumperoo? I've been out of the baby picture for too long but as I have this new DGC coming along in September I want to get a good start on the spoiling process.
Weather not so brilliant here today. The foghorns have been working overtime for the past few days but today is just dismal. With all the dire warnings of drought etc I am re-thinking my plans for the garden. We are on clay so it is either under water or like concrete with huge cracks in. I'm reducing the thirstier veg and growing things in bags close to the house where I can tip all the washing up water etc. I well remember 1976 but never thought I'd be doing all that again.
I've reached the halfway mark with the Easter Chicks. 50 done and the same to go.
Glad to have caught up with you all again.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Well I'll eat my words as my DGS Danny turned up around 10.45a.m. already to dig for victory (or at least clear some of the jungle at the bottom of my garden).bless him he worked up a real lather for his sausage sarnies which vanished down his throat in double quick time .He's a good lad and we sat and jawed about almost everything under the sun from politics to Manhattan Island to the State of Israel and his career in t.v. and his ambitions to where he wants to be in five years.
I know I am probably a bit biased but I love talking to him as he is such a nice young man and always has time to talk and listen to people .It's a trait that will stand him in good stead in his life I think.
I picked the youngest three boys up from school and they came to my house for an hour and I fed them HM cake and a few biscuits then took them back to their house for when Mum arrived home from work at 6.
So all my grandsons are happy lads tonight.DGD Holly is not well today as she has a chest infection so has been at home feeling poorly.I shall phone her later to cheer her up.As my immune system is shot I can't go near her until she is better, but I will get her some chocolate and give it to her Mum when I see her, that might make her cold a bit more comfy, as chocolate is almost a universal cure for most of us ladies I think.
Right time to get a wriggle on and sort out dinner
have a good evening everyone
cheers JackieO xx0 -
Evening All
DD's BF's dog was run over this afternoon
He has to go back to the vet tomorrow for more x-rays but the vet has said that it is highly likely he will lose his leg, there isn't much left of his foot. He is only 2 so he should cope ok with only three legs, but what an awful thing to happen. it was a hit and run which makes it worse :mad:Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

butterflybrain - poor dog
hope it isnt too bad
monnagran - the jumperoo is THE best thing we brought for our ds. forget door bouncers. here it is. seriously kept ds amused for ages. he was in from when he was sitting unsupported (he sat at 4 months ) and lasted him until he was around 9 months old and started walking - he was an eager baby lol the seat swivels 360 and there are toys all around it. you can get it cheaper than the price on the that link btw"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -

So Sorry to hear about the dog, hopefully still being young as you say will help .
It does me angry when people don't stop after these accidents you have to wonder how they would feel if it was their pet:mad:
Hope the news is better than they think
