Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 13th March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in,put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) andjoin us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you haveto though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all
Off to work soon, I wonder what today will bring.
Good luck for Wednesday BB.
Hugs to Molly
I finished one dress yesterday & hopefully will finish the other one tonight, I could have finished both but I wanted to finish the book I was reading, Dead Beat by Jim Butcher.
I'm starting another baby/lap blanket, this time using up all the bits of chunky wool I have left over from knitting scarves & mittens, I must look out a larger crochet hook.
I have some cooked chicken in the fridge, I'll use that up for tea, but not sure how yet. It's time I made the packups & another cuppa.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning Hester and all who follow - hugs to Molly.

Can't believe its Tuesday already. Today have to clean throughout - due to doing nothing yesterday - and then need to make dinner - roast chicken and veg and then hubby coming home - no work for a month - but we'll survive! Need to walk the dogs today as well and sort out washing as normal!! Two little boys certainly make the washing mountain grow - but I'd not be without them - most of the time. xx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

    Good Morning All

Congrats Adelight :T & Good Luck for tomorrow BB

Little bit stressed in the Essex house as wm repair man came yesterday - needs to order 2 parts and wm won't be fixed till next tues . Have washing everywhere, need to get to the launderette but have a busy day today and DS has only 1 pair of pants left :rotfl:. Have a load in the wm half done and soaking wet so think will try and get that done today then have a launderette day tomorrow.

Apart from that everything is fine, today I need to drop DD at college, pop round my Mums then rush home to go to the launderette. College and Mums are an hour away and the launderette is 15 mins - love where we live but sometimes it is a pain.

Good news is I am out with my old friends tonight :j love catching up with them and no cooking for me. OH will probably do his speciality of poached eggs on toast.

Have a couple of essential office bits I need to get done and a little housework.

Hope you are all well (((hugs))) to whomever needs one.x

    Morning all,
DGD was awake at 5.45 coughing so an early start for me today.
After dropping her off at playschool I'm off to DD2's to help her sort out baby clothes she no longer needs, she was in tears y/day as she doesn't want to get rid of anything but is running out of cupboard/ wardrobe space. Need to get some F & V today so a quick stop at the market.
Lots of ironing to do and vacume.

MOORHEN, You must be so proud of your DD2, well done to her.
Must dash DGD wants boiled egg and soldiers.
    Have a good day all.

Need to flick a damp cloth round (cant use dust as it sets my chest off) and put the wm on.

    Morning everyone

Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Overcast and dull here this morning, have put washing out anyway and it's now spitting with rain but it can stay out. Where's this lovely warm sunshine and great temperatures we're supposed to be having? - it was cold and cloudy all day yesterday:o DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock.

Work was a mixed bag yesterday - some of the time it was really busy and then we had really quiet periods but know it will get busy end of this week and onwards as start of new financial year - deep joy!

Dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket, beans/veg and then treats from the tins if anyone wanted some. Got the chicken out to defrost for tonight's dinner so sticking to the menu plan so far! Will have a relatively easy day at work today as I'm mentoring a new colleague - she has to do the work with me watching over her and assisting if necessary. I always like Tuesday's as when I go home at the end of the day I've only got a half day still to work and my working week is then finished. :)

Had a long chat with our friends who live in Scotland last night - they are helping us with the rally in the summer - so looking forward to it - she's going to the bus company today and is going to get them to do a letter to bring away with her confirming dates and prices - she's not happy as they were supposed to have done it.

Will be heading to the gym Thursday and Friday and tomorrow after work if I get time - want to put in several hard weeks now so I can see if I can shift a bit more weight.

Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

    :TMorning all,

Yesterday was a glorious day, it was 20 deg at lunch time, it was such a beautiful spring day.

Had my haircut yesterday and I had a £10 voucher, so cost was quite good, she was a really good cutter, and has given me a load more vouchers, so will take dd in soon, each time I reccomend a friend I get £10 off a haircut :T

Need to do an online shop today, and pop up and see dad, the dog will need a walk over the fields, and I need to nip to the post office with an Ebay parcel. On top of this all the usual housework washing etc.

Roast chicken for dinner with roasties and veg, the chicken is huge, so should get a few meals from it.

Dundeel doll, hope all goes well xx

    Have good days all xx

9 am and i'm still in bed  dr appt not till 11:30. Thanx all for +ve vibes and hugs. Really enjoyed CFM's 2 hours of vaughan williams. Saved me from vacuuming :rotfl: red ruby lovely haircut :)
Nmic is the rally in scotland? No prizes for guessing where i live
Congrats to adelight and HH's DD :T
Right, best get up face the day. My friend who's a doc sez she tends to use the words we're taking a sample' rather than biopsy cos the b word in people's minds equates with the c word and causes very often unnecessary stress. Need to remid myself whatever the outcome, jolly lucky to have such a good and free health service.

Hugs to all. Let the pounds stay off our waists and in our bank accounts
