Some DVD players output pure NTSC, some PAL60 many transcode on the fly from NTSC to PAL50 and PAL50 to NTSC60.
Some small TVs don't accept RGB on scart hence they may only show NTSC in monochrome, or it could be a fully wired scart isn't being used so the RGB isn't passed, having a fully wired scart lead would solve that. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

There are huge advantages to buying US DVD's the main one is that the are released before the UK market get them sometimes before the reach the cinema.
Flyboys released the beginning of the year on NTSC DVD, only recently in the cinema here. (Great film BTW).
Many multi-region players can now play RCE discs.
The ones I have do no problem and automatically. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
