Asda vs Lidl & Adli?

I use Aldi Bio washing powder all the time now - cos I picked up the pack in error thinking it non-bio! I have extremely sensitive skin and always avoided bio powders thinking it would make it worse! I can't use most 'Branded' powders as they bring me out in a rash or even (Ariel) in blisters!
to my surprise the Bio powder was very gentle on my skin! It cleans extremely well and I am very pleased with it! I dont use anything else now (except the Happy Shopper one from the corner shop which I get if I have run out).
Magnum concentrated washing up liquid is the best! one bottle lasts a couple of months and it doesnt make my hands sore! cant stand the eucalyptus one - hate the smell but the others are fine!0 -

Lidl
All the biscuits are nice
Ravioli bolognese in a big tin for 99p
Their lasagne is a hit in this house
multipacks of crisps
fromage frais
yoghurts
all the meats are very good
frozen pizzas
fish fingers
nappies
washing powder
bin bags
crutons
toothbrushes for kids
plus all their fruit and veg is always decent and much cheaper than other supermarkets
Hope this helps someone!
To add;
pasta
pasta sauce
fish cakes
fries (the skinny type)
bagels
bakery stuff if yours has one
chocolate coated peanuts
chocolate raisins
hummus
microwave burgers
(I'm not as unhealthy as that list makes out, but the fruit and veg had already been mentioned!)
I have had a few bad things (just posted a thread about a bad bottle of wine) but I can't remember any now - most Lidl products are great.0 -
Tried aldi first time two weeks ago, we are big brand buyers usually. I'm trying to wean us gently, I've been trying to drop down a brand ( in the supermarket) for a few weeks. We've tried a few things that have been ok so off we went to aldi. Bought free range chicken ( delicious) got two meals for three as roasts, used the leg, thigh meat for chicken soup and the carcass for stock well worth £4.99. Crisps I'm not a big fan but DH wasn't very keen. Fruit and veg - brill lasted ages good quality reasonably priced so that's a thumbs up.
Been back this week tried a few more bits antibacterial cleaner, lamb steaks, eggs(free range large with good date bargain 99p) more fruit and veg, bread, crumpets and pack of biscuits.
I'll be back when we've tasted with an update.
Big thank you to all those who've posted their good buys more to check out in a fortnight. The secret of Christmas

I have just been to Aldi for my weekly shop and when I got back I compared it to shopping in Asda and I was around £30 cheaper shopping in Aldi, :T with 2 adults, a teenager and 2 kids in the house I need to save as much as I can :j:j0
