Lidl's pizzas are good too. As is the luxury muesli and chocolate 79% cocoa solids.

Oooh, they do catch my eye when I see them but didn't buy them as they tend to be in packs of 2 and didn't wanna be left with one if I didn't like them. Will definitely try them now though, thanks :) The inferno one looks nice but don't think the bf will forgive me if I got it!

Lidl has got quorn pieces & mince on offer till Thursday (when the new offers are starting) at £1.19 so worth stocking up on if you like them? Much cheaper than the supermarkets!

Lidls Hash Browns are the nicest that I've ever tried, well worth it if you get them now and again. So nice, bf agreed too. Yum yum!

Lidl are good for crisp multipacks, they often have a branded pack of 12 for 1.29, I've bought monster munch & squares in this offer. Not sure what they've got this week as I haven't been.

I've wrote in another forum about this but Aldi Chilli Con Carne sauce is a bargain at 65p. It's really tasty, not too spicy and doesn't have a lot of beans in so it's ideal for those who aren't sure about it or not so keen like my bf. I'll just add extra beans & chilli into my portion :D

Pasta & rice are a lot cheaper in Aldi & Lidl too.

I have to say though, they scan the products very quickly and I ended up just throwing them in the trolley as I couldn't keep up :rotfl:.

that is what you are supposed to do !

Put the stuff back into your trolley and then bag them up in the areas behind the checkouts. Keeps the queues moving when they are particulary busy.

Now I know why they scan so fast :wall:. Always wondered why they had a long shelf behind the checkout!

Can anyone comment on the washing powder and other kitchen/bathroom stuff please?
  • I use the lidl formil bio and its great. I have 3 mucky kids and we have no issues with stains or anything coming out still dirty. I also only use half of the amount they recommend so the big box lasts ages!

    Lidl

    All the biscuits are nice
Ravioli bolognese in a big tin for 99p
Their lasagne is a hit in this house
    multipacks of crisps
    fromage frais
    yoghurts
all the meats are very good
    frozen pizzas
    fish fingers
    nappies
    washing powder
    bin bags
    crutons
    toothbrushes for kids
plus all their fruit and veg is always decent and much cheaper than other supermarkets :)
    Hope this helps someone!

I always get the Aldi Almat laundry liquid and their version of Vanish. The bin bags and swing bin liners are the best quality i've had, and the kitchen and bathroom trigger bottle cleaners are great too.

If you have a dishwasher, the tablets are good. If not their washing up liquid Magnum is good too. I think Lidl's washing up liquid is also highly rated (my sis used the blue one which was great for sparkling glasses).
Hoping this year is better than the last. :)

We bought some washing powder tablets from lidls a few weeks ago. They didn't disolve very well and it made our skin itch! I'd avoid it like the plague!
