My partner took a loan out wiht Yes Car finance for a car. He paid the full amount back. In Aug this year we approached PPI Claim line to claim the refund. We paid over £2300 for PPI alone.
Still not have anything back!!
Has anyone actually received any refund from them??
Many thanks0 -

I am putting in a ppi claim for a loan taken out with DAFS way back in 1999 and finished 2004 I know there is this cut of time, is it 10 years ? I did attempt a claim about 6 years ago which was rejected but I am challenging this. In my original agreement I has 7 months off work and when I claimed my sickness cover repayment this was rejected incorrectly I believe. 2 questions does anyone out there think I have a chance re. ppi ? but if not could I claim to have my sickness cover rejection overturned ? I am prepared to go to the courts over this especially the ppi bit. Do they buckle when threatened with the courts. ?0

There is one though which I took out around 1999 and the last payment was made in 2004 the company is D,A,F,S, Direct Auto Finance Service.
Regulation of general insurance sales began in January 2005, so you have no access to the Ombudsman.0 -
Sorry this is quite long winded, In 2005 I bought a car through Yes Car Credit (Direct Auto Finance). I was paying £273 per month. In 2008 I was struggling with payments and despite sending letters and un answered phone calls I didn’t get any response from them about lowering my payments for the time being. In April 2009 2 men came to my address saying they were repossessing my car. I did argue with them saying I would not let them take it. They telephoned either YCC or DAF and I was told that they would be leaving with the car and If I got in they way they would call the police as I was obstructing. All this was in front of my children who were very upset.
I then read through my agreement again and under repossession rights it stated that if you do not keep to the agreement but you have paid at least one third of the total amount payable under this agreement that is £3416.16 (which at the time I had paid£10,375.14 which was 38 payments) the creditor may not take goods against your wishes unless he gets a court order.
If he does take goods without your consent or a court order, you have the right to get back any money you have paid under this agreement.
I wrote to them and stated this. My car was returned to me straight away. I received a letter stating that because I had kept unto payments to the time I was struggling as a gesture of good will they had returned my car.
If they were within their legal right to take my car I would not have got it back so easily.
A company called Hillsden securities emailed me this year stating I still owed £2.130. I emailed them in April 2014 asking if they would be refunding me £11,476.14. They have apparently been intouch with DAF for the passed 4 months re this and I have not received any answers, they just keep emailing me saying that DAF have not given the responses I am requesting.
I asked Hillsden for the address of DAF, I wrote to them sending the letter requesting a signature on delivery I have received the letter back stating unable to deliver.
I have just been reading that Provident were the owners of DAF. If this is so should I sent the letter to them.0 -
In relation to a post I put on here on 27-08-2014 Re Direct auto finance, Well I just wanted to share my FANTASTIC news sorry should have done this before. my post was as follows Sorry this is quite long winded, In 2005 I bought a car through Yes Car Credit (Direct Auto Finance). I stuck out with emails going backwards and forwards to Hillsden security and at the end of October 2014 I received a cheque for just over £8000 from DIRECT AUTO FINANCE.
They had taken my car with out a court order and they knew they were in the wrong. My advice to anyone taking on this company is to keep going. I will pull out the letter with their address on and I will post it. It was a Po box in Bradford. I was one happy lady.0
