My mum and dad both have matiz`s, they love them, and I have found the boot surprising. I got a buggy in the boot and shopping, had to take the wheels off the buggy but it fitted.
I on the other hand hate to drive it if I borrow it, but I am used to driving big cars, drive scenic at the mo. I hated the fact I would grab the passengers knee when trying to change gear, and felt like one gust of wind would knock it over.
I agree with the suzuki swift coment, our 2nd car is one and such a fun little car to drive. Love it in 3rd when it revs before changing gear it sounds great0 -
we have one as a 2nd car. Make sure you get the 1L, the 0.8 Chevy is not worth the hassle. It is very comfy to drive in town, nippy enough to keep up with city traffic, and if you live in big city then parking in a tight spot is so easy. The Matiz is also capable on the motorway, we have done a decent amount of 300+ miles round trip at the legal speed on motorway, in manual and 1L form has no problem keeping up, inclusive of overtaking and going uphills. It is a bit noisy at speed however. We have owned it from new, at 7 years old other than yearly servicing, tyres and brakes. It has been trouble free. Also because it has a tall body and all the back seats folds flat, it is also handy for ikea trips.0

For the price you'll be able to get a second hand Matiz for nowadays, there are far better cars available for the same money.0
