Well bred?? First thoughts please :(

I have just comes across this advert for king charles puppies which describes them as well bred :( and show quality!!

I am in shock I feel a bit sick to be honest that they themselves as ´breeders´ haven´t noticed they look deformed. I know these are the king charles breed and not the cavaliers. I´ve also noticed bumps on puppies heads before but not to this extent.

Does anyone else agree they look extremely deformed or am I missing something?

I thought the breed was "Cavalier King Charles Spaniels" - Google doesn't come up with any results for "King Charles Spaniels", just partial matches with Cavalier on the start. (edit: Oh wait, found it now, ignore that bit!)
If they're that well-bred then they wouldn't need to advertise on Preloved, for a start. Nor would they be likely to have pups still needing a home at 5 months - where's the waiting list and high demand for these well-bred, show quality pups that was established before the mother and father even set sight on each other?
Why are they both shy at 5 months old, have they not been socialised? By the time they go to their new home, they'll have missed most of the very vital stages of puppihood and that shyness could cause lifetime problems.

They do look a bit odd but I am no expert on small dogs. Found it odd that no homes with small children, why not? Is it a breed that doesn't like children? Would have thought all puppies would be okay with children so long as they weren't allowed to torment them.

Had a puppy that looked like that once(different breed) and we suspected hydrocephalus. It turned out fine, as the puppy matured the dome disappeared.

Exactly! King charles are usually very happy little dogs that love to be around children. Theres a condition they sometimes get called Syringomyelia I´m no expert but apparently their brain gets too big for their skulls and this was my first thought on seeing these pups but again I´m no expert on things like this and have no experience of it.

It just seems a strange advert with very strange looking pups poor things x

There appears to be some confusion.

Cavalier King Charles may often suffer from Syringomyelia where as the King Charles spaniel does not. That is why the breeder has made the distinction.

It is still odd that they are 5 months old and shy, a 5 month old pup should be very out going and bounding about and loving kids. Something very wrong here imo

I think the reason why the breeder has made the distinction is to confirm they are king charles and not cavaliers. Not to dismiss any possibilities of illnesses etc.

Either way, I think there is something definitely wrong with their heads and eyes. Considering they have been vaccinated I´m surprised the vet hasn´t noticed this.

The pics are of much younger dogs (IMHO), don't look very happy do they!

King Charles are a different breed to Cavalier King Charles. I knew someone with one once, to be honest they both seem like over-bred disasterous breeds to me, but there are things about the King Charles one that just look like deformaties to anyone but a fan. They do have very domed heads, it's normal for them, they also have stuck-together toes!
