Registry Fix for DVD Driver Problem In Windows 7?
Comments
-
damn my laptop has a combi DVD/bluray drive and for the past few months the bluray part has not worked at all (simply not detected any inserted bluray discs and saying the drive is empty)
I thought this might fix it but alas no, the DVD/CD part still works perfectly but the bluray part is still kaput.

It's a Toshiba Satellite L450D-13X.
Yes, have tried removing in Device Manager and doing a hardware changes rescan.
Will do a manual registry edit of the filters later and report back. Thanks to all who have offered advice.
If all else fails, try these Chipset Drivers for AMD 780G.
Worse case scenario is just to run a Factory Restore, if the Live OS proves that the drive is not faulty.0 -
What about a Linux 'live' cd?
Well, someone had to suggest it.:)
It would rule in/out if the drive is defective.Move along, nothing to see.0
