Nokia N73 or SE K800i

Hi,

Please can someone give me a bit of advice. My Son wants a new Pay & Go mobile.

Which of these phones would the experts recommend. I have tried to check what size memory card if any is supplied with these phones on purchase, but most websites dont state if a card is supplied with the phone.

Also if you purchase a refurbished Sony Ericcson mobile from a major network and they state a 6mth warranty ( as its a refurb), is the warranty really only six months, how would a SE service centre know the warranty on the phone is only 6mths.

Thanks Rinkrat

I am no expert but the SE K800i is seen as a much better phone. It is far more popular and if you look at the mobile review sites the K800i is one of the most popular and rated phones at the moment. Plenty of deals on them too.
  • Prices might drop soon as the K810i is due out very soon, the N73 also comes in music edition version which has a 4GB memory.
2p off is still 2p off!
  • I've just had a K800i as a replacement for the W810i and its excellent. The camera is also really good for a mobile.

Depends what you want to use it for....do you need the smartphone aspects of the n73? If not, I'd go for the K800.

I haven't tried the N73 but have the K800i and like it. The K800i is not supplied with a memory card. Some retailers may bundle a card as part of a package but the majority do not. It has 65Meg of internal memory which is fine for photos and games. The memory card is an M2 card and it costs about £20 for a 1GB.

I have the nokia N73 and its awesome. I was deciding between both the Nokia N73 and K800i but went for the N73 as it had more features plus I could use TomTom software on it.

    K800i talk time = 2.5hours The n73 talk time = 3hours.

K800i good all round solid phone, great camera due to real flash. more expensive memory cards though.

N73 now that the firmware is fixed, is a great with increased function over k800i. Cheaper memory cards, also has stereo speakers.

    Can't lose either way.

wrong, unless just the orange branded ones are different, its 7hrs and im inclined to believe it because ive got one

i would say the k800i unless you want a smartphone - the k800i is just so much nicer and easier, less problematic, quicker
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D
  • Ok i am an N73 fan, not only because i have one but because i know it is a much better phone than K800i. It more features and can do much more than K800i can do. It has be most recent OS from Symbian S60 3rd edition and it is has a massive amount of application developed for it. This is makes it a very flexible phone and makes it far stronger than K800i. So my vote goes 100% in favour of N73. You can check more on gsmarena.com and see for yourself.
