Hi
In tesco today i went to purchase some aerial liquid, as it has recently been on offer for £4 for the big size, today it was up to £8.19!!! I never remember it being so expensive before, seems very, very expensive
They are still selling large size bold liquid for £4.

I only buy now when something is on offer. I will stock up as much as possible. I'm using Daz and have been buying the big (90 wash) boxes for £10 when they come up on offer.
Washing powder does seem to come on offeer quite frequently, so these days it's definitely worth stocking up when you can. I now wouldn't pay full price at all for it.0 -
I stocked up on the Bold which was still at £4, i do love the smell of aerial though

I've got loads and loads of Persil via the half-price offer and £1 coupons (28 wash size for £2.20) and that's on top of loads of cheap Surf, again using coupons.
Definitely stock up when you get the chance and I'll still take any cheap offers if and when they come available despite having over 18 months worth of washing liquids and powder.
I never ever pay more than 10p per wash and that's using branded stuff.

I buy non-bio Formil from Lidl £6.49 for 60 wash at full price and it is excellent. But the last five boxes have been from the half price offer last year and save loads. Get more than 60 washes from a box easily. Although I am running out do plzz I need another weekend deal!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

I only buy it on offer I have a 4 foot length shelf in garage its full of washing powder and conditioner which I have only bought when it was on offer or I got some discount voucher
I tend to buy surf and Daz as its nearly always on offer some where0 -
I never buy washing liquid or fabric conditioner when its not on offer! Plus I never put in the recommended amount in as its wasteful, but still does the job. A 34 wash bottle lasts me about 54 washes.
Best bargain was buying a bottle of Surf - 42 wash. Had a coupon through the post for £4 off. It was down to £4.50 at the time. As the staff discount is taken off before any voucher discount as 99.9% of the time, you don't have a coupon. Cost for me - 5p!0 -
I use washing balls so dont use as much washing powder any way as clothes arent usually all that dirty. Make sure you clean your washing machine out as I found out low temps can eventually cause problems with clogging, so I now ever month or so use a hot wash and out some soda crystals in or you can get washing machine cleaner
I had to get a new pump not long ago and the machine was quite bunged up with gunk due to 40c washes all time0 -
The thing that disgusts me is the price of Vanish. In America you can buy Clorex and Javex non-chlorine bleach to remove stains and it seemed inexpensive. I may see if I can get it over here because £8 is ridiculous.0

I don't get through much detergent but the last I bought was some Tesco Value stuff, 28 washes for less than a quid if I recall.
Seems to clean well, I've never had to deal with mud etc but general coffee stains and bits of tomato etc have been sorted.
Never tried the branded to compare, it washes my clothes, not sure what else I'd want.
Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”
Said Diogenes, “Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.”0 -

I use the Value stuff too, but usually Morrisons as I think it's cheaper than the Tesco stuff. Nothing fancy about it but it does the trick.0
