Freeze in the tin Cheery and transfer to a tub or bag after. Pop back in the tin before baking from frozen.

Afternoon all,
Thanks for the sympathy for my stressful Thursday. It improved - we went out for dinner in a very quiet restaurant and DH and I went on to a cocktail bar at which we were the only customers - the staff (a family) were busy putting their tree up and taking selfies with it! So very safe. On Friday morning I ventured to Sale on the metro to see the Postman Pat sets (an exhibition at the arts centre there). It was very small, but lovely to see them and see the detail in them (I was a big Postman Pat fan as a child!). The return journey was long and dark, so we ended up with takeaway (I had a £15 voucher, so mostly offset).
Did loads of jobs on Saturday, including deciding on food for Boxing Day, returned the bed we'd borrowed to dress our house to Mum and writing some cards (my plan of writing to those who send them/only to people I'm not seeing in December may come unstuck between postal delays and covid-changes!). Visited friends for dinner in eve and they'd invited another mutual friend who is their neighbour. Decorated the house yesterday and then received news that my Mum had gone for a PCR test (negative!) and then mutual friend from the night before texted to say that she'd tested positive! Aaargh! (She is very careful and had been testing daily and was negative on Saturday, but she does work in London with the public!). So we're testing daily. Negative today though - so will try to get the food in later that I need (and the last few presents). I do have work though, so it may not happen today.
One Poll say my account was showing as having been accessed outside of the UK. Which is a load of rubbish. I think I can get the account reinstated if I send them ID but as my account is in my maiden name as it's 'work' (i.e. right name for bank account etc.) I'm not sure how easy that'll be - I'll have to send a photo of marriage cert too and is it really worth it? It sounds like I won't get my £16 balance reinstated. She didn't respond to my question about the pending payout. I'll really kick up a fuss if I don't get that though. 😡

ETA: Should also say that the freezing mince pies didn't work here - they stuck to the pan in the freezer, so I was forced to cook them off! Have made another batch of mincemeat though, ready for more pies!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Oh that's a shame about your mince pies MV - I butter and flour the trays before putting the pastry in and they seem to come out fine that way. I hope they were delicious cooked though.

Aah, flour, that must be the key! Will try that next time. Yes, it’s not really a hardship having to eat more - just wish I didn’t hate making pastry so much!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
