Busy morning this morning - Olio collection; sold an item on FB marketplace, so that's gone; and 2 separate trips for Freegle items - enough crackers to go with the ones from last year for Boxing Day (don't ask - I wouldn't have bought them for environmental reasons 🙄) and a bared used board game that Niece will love.
You can buy reuseable ones these days and I even saw them in M&S when I was in there earlier this week. See this post: https://moralfibres.co.uk/10-reusable-eco-friendly-christmas-crackers-for-a-cracking-time/2026 decluttering: 388 🤑🥉 ⭐️🥈🥇 ⭐️ ⭐️💎 ⭐️

You can and I would probably do this if I just didn’t see the point! But I had some single use ones and now I have enough for Boxing Day. I love moral fibres though - my go to for so many things! 😁Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

What tip?... I've missed that. Off to rummage...themadvix said:Thanks Fortune, but I’ve only just seen this - I’ve written one now, bit of a mosh mash of things I thought of and stuff found by googling. I do however have 11 mince pies in the freezer thanks to you (annoyingly ran out of mincemeat to do the last one!), so thanks for that tip. 😊Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. SL, I’m sure you’re on it already with your many freezers and great organisation - Fortune makes mince pies and freezes unbaked. Have adopted this approach!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Aha, I do. I also top some with a bit of crumble when I haven't got enough pastry made for the third tray (being a total sad-o, I keep a bag of ready mixed crumble in the freezer for quick puds and emergency comfort situations...themadvix said:SL, I’m sure you’re on it already with your many freezers and great organisation - Fortune makes mince pies and freezes unbaked. I might be being unimaginative... but how do you freeze an unbaked mince pie?? I've not made one forever, but I feel like the pastry would just go all floppy and collapse when youtook it out of the tin to put it in the freezer?3
