Thanks Karma. I just don't get it really and while I'm feeling far more confident in our decision these days, I really could do without her finding every possible negative and bringing it up (today it was 'oh your friends' children will have activities on Saturdays and so they won't come and visit at the weekends... - I mean, a) we have plenty of friends without children/with grown up children; b) friends won't be coming every week, so I'm sure that occasionally their kids could miss something - it's not going to be a spur of the moment thing!; c) we might make new friends (!); d) family can come and visit.... the list goes on....).
On a cheerier note, one of the cats was waiting for me in the car park - he trotted along behind me and up the stairs to the flat - so sweet!
Lady with a Plan: Have just discovered that you can amend which shipping options are available in your settings - the buyer selects the option they want, but you can narrow it down to ones that are convenient for you. I think my tip would be to go through all the options/sections in the Profile section as clearly this is where all this is laid out for you - I didn't know that about postage! You have 5 days to dispatch after a sale, which is good. From the sellers I've purchased from, it feels a bit more like good communication is expected too - so I messaged to let my buyer know that I'd be posting today or tomorrow.
Slightly flummoxed by the person trying to sell a second hand primark jumper for £5 though... I couldn't get that for my excellent condition Next jeans!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thats great on the vinted info, thank you. Pricing is always a finger in the air for me... but that primark jumper seems expensive!!
Love that cat behviour - soe really are more like dogs than others .. I had a Bengal that would come to the door like a dog to greet me ad even sat on the end of my bath (yes he fell in once luckily it was not too hot!!) .DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Afternoon all,
Thanks Karma, I thought you'd like that! He was there again today 🥰
Between huge amounts of work and my Olio collection this morning, it's been a busy day so far (without considering the RM survey item that needed posting and the cats that needed feeding right in the middle of the day!). Work continues for now, but I'll be off to see Dad and his partner soon. Will also pop to Boots to buy some vitamin D tablets (have been listening a podcast about their importance for the immune system).
Unfortunately 'freezer food' turned into fish and chips for my dinner last night - DH isn't that bothered (and doesn't have fish), so I figured it would be a good opportunity. I must have really wanted it because it involved running in the rain to get it!
MS things:
* Clicks done
* 1P surveys done - have been surprised at how quickly this has built up since having the app on my phone - at £16.80 now.
* YG survey done (£48)
* Comps not entered yet, will do this evening
* Cats fed
* RM survey bits prepped, posted and updated
* Free bread for lunches (Olio)
Gratitudes:
* Sunshine for my walk to the PO
* Forthcoming visit to see Dad and partner
* Kitty cuddles

Sorry @LadyWithAPlan, missed your comments! Vinted does give you an idea of how much other similar items have sold for, so that's helpful. And a Bengal? How lovely! This one is very much a small moggy, but he's quite sweet and a greedy guts considering his size!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Absolutely shattered today. I waited up until 11 to collect DH from the station (normally I'm in bed at 10), and then at just gone 11 he told me to go to bed (was expecting to collect him at 11.40) - there were train issues, in the end, after switching lines, he got home at 1.45 am. But I was quite awake so didn't go to sleep until midnightish, then was awake when he got in and couldn't get back to sleep for most of the night. We did at least push our alarms back a bit, but he had to be in work for a face-to-face meeting at 9. I've been for a walk round the block and have my second cuppa in front of me.
Fortunately work is looking a bit more manageable today, in part, unfortunately, because the end client has decided to shorten their deadline (despite them setting the schedule originally) and so some of the work is going to another freelancer. I don't care really - it's annoying, but I'm really feeling the need for a break and apparently DH has a meeting in London tomorrow, so we've decided I'll go and meet him afterwards, which I wouldn't have been able to do. As it is, I'm still ploughing through some work for this client, and then have something for my main client which I need to do. Meant to be going for a walk with Mum later - but might change the plan (which was to involve dropping DH's day 2 PCR test off - he didn't do it this morning so there's no point going where we were going).
Had a nice evening at Dad's yesterday - the mac and cheese ready meal was surprisingly good and it was nice to spend some time with them. I think the present for Dad's partner went down OK?! (it's been a long time since I've had to buy presents for people I don't know that well!)
MS things:
* Entered some comps once I got back last night whilst catching up on Bake Off, but ginger cat needed a cuddle, so I put the computer down - he is more important
* free dinner
* have bread for lunch today
* Clicks done (and will try to get comps done in a bit too)
* Cats to feed again (tbh, going at midday is a pain!)
Gratitudes:
* Time with Dad
* DH got home safely, eventually
* Looking forward to an unexpected afternoon in London tomorrow!

Good heavens, thats a train issue and a half, your poor DH! And poor you, actually. Second cups of tea are always good though2023: the year I get to buy a car5

He’s had quite a run of bad luck with trains recently - not great when he’s trying to do the right thing by the environment and the rail companies are desperate for people to return to them. 🙄 considering he’d come all the way from Vienna yesterday, to be scuppered at the last leg was a bit much.

Is anyone going to know if you don't feed the cats at midday? If they don't have a ring doorbell/nannycam/nosey neighbours maybe you could shift the time to something that suits you better? After all, the cats actually being fed is the important bit!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I’m going a bit later today to work it with meeting up with mum. No, it wouldn’t matter if it wasn’tmidday exactly but a) I ask what suits as is on my profile that I’m self employed and can fit around them and b) I’m only visiting once a day, so it’s only fair to be reasonably consistent for them. Only today and tomorrow left anyway.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
