Fortunately Karma, I use a password manager, which I couldn’t live without! But good point about Happy Wheel - I think that might be more my thing too.
Just waiting for 11 for my appointment to meet next week’s cats. Then I need to pop to Costco, and while I’m there I might as well get some fuel (haven’t used any in weeks, but only have about 50 miles of petrol left).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Afternoon all,
Had a nice weekend, if low key. On Saturday we went for a walk to collect some curly kale (Olio) and my Vinted jeans, then we did some car stuff (DH looked at mine, which is making an odd noise; I hoovered it and we changed a brake light bulb) and a bit of garden tidying/prep for moving. We were at the gym for 8am yesterday for badminton - it was lovely and quiet! I sorted the cat's chicken and baked some biscuits yesterday morning, we watched the GP and then I went and did a few bits of necessary shopping. Looked at and failed to buy Wellingtons. I have narrow ankles and apparently chunky (but *not* fat) calves, which means I really struggle to find boots that fit (of any variety). I currently only have trainers as waterproofish shoes, as my walking shoes had a huge hole in them and I've not replaced them yet. Moving to the countryside in the middle of winter, this is becoming an urgent issue!
Fridge is now looking very empty (which is good). Veg box delivery on Thursday. Collected a pineapple, courgette, two bananas two white batons and some choc orange cookies from an Olioer this morning. So we have healthy (and unhealthy) food for a couple more days (used up the curly kale yesterday). Had one of the batons for lunch today and will have the other with some soup tomorrow (lentil?). DH is off on a business trip tomorrow afternoon until late Wednesday, so I won't have to feed him tomorrow night or Wednesday.

I tend to live in rigger boots 😁 Much easier than wellies to get on and off, and don't come as high up your leg. Love mine. Maybe not high fashion 😂 but they definitely have a certain style 😂6

Thanks Cheery - had to look them up. Yes, I think shorter ones may be the way forward for me. Ankle ones, even. But so far I've struggled to find any to try on - went to Cotswold Outdoor yesterday and despite loads of boots on their website they only had 3 styles in-store. The lady was helpful though and recommended a nearby independent country-store-type place, which is what I was looking for really - they seem to be few and far between round here these days (made me very nostalgic for the saddlery I used to go to for riding stuff as a child - oh the smell of the lovely new saddles! (I wasn't veggie then and in my memory it's still a nice smell! 😂).
Definitely not worried about the look!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

@themadvix I get more of my clothes than I care to admit from our local Moles agricultural store! But it's nowhere near as good as the TFM Stores near where I used to live - I love a proper farm storeThey're not the cheapest, but I really rate my Muck Boots, I have a regular fully rubber pair and a polar pair for winter. I know you need them now, but their winter sale is usually really good.2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8566

Thanks Chiglepig. I'm open to buying second-hand to save money, but I need to know they work for me and what size I need. I'll see whether they have them at the farm shop when I go on Thursday (have now probably roped mum in for a walk too, and unbeknownst to her, we may go for tapas first too!).
Just been out for a walk in the sunshine. Friend I saw on Friday invited me to a Fitbit challenge (or several). She made out that she didn't do that many steps (and I was under the impression that the others in the group wouldn't be that hard to keep up with either) but I've really struggled to keep up over the weekend, despite doing 23k steps! And am 3rd/4th in the week's group at the moment, despite my fairly long walk! I think the competition may be a good incentive though.

Morning all,
QueenJess, yes it is, and addictive. It will definitely incentivise me! I've just been out for a walk around the block (had a card to post), so have caught up a bit this morning. Whilst out I had another difficult conversation with my mother. Fortunately I've got to the point where I can converse about it without getting upset now, which helps. I have a lot more faith in our decision than I did. I wish she could see the benefits, rather than all the downsides (but I think part of that is that we're very different and she sees it as a lot of work, whereas DH and I see it as a challenge to embrace). Oh well.
Still have plenty of work to get on with today (and tomorrow at least). But it's feeling a bit more manageable today, mainly because it's only for one client, so there's less balancing having to be done. Have cats to feed at midday and DH to drop at the station this afternoon. I think we'll have leftovers of dinner (veggie bolognese) for lunch, with some free baguette. I'll have freezer food for dinner tonight and Dad's messaged to say they got a macaroni cheese ready meal in their delivery as a substitute, did I want it - so that's tomorrow's dinner sorted (it'll probably be vile, but we'll see). I did point out that he could have rejected it and wouldn't have paid for it, but that's Dad. I'm popping round with his partner's birthday present - bought in the Debenhams closing down sale. Feeling rather glad of my organisation earlier in the year!
MS things:
* Clicks, comps and HW done (they've started giving me the odd reward again, so I'll persevere!)
* Sold a pair of jeans on Vinted so need to get that packed and sent (Hermes parcelshop was selected by the buyer, so that's a little bit of a walk for me)
* Realised I have another item to put on there - need to iron (?) and photograph.
* Various payments for invoices have arrived, which feels good.
* Still no heating here (mornings are getting harder to get out of bed, but fine once dressed!)
* 50p PA survey yesterday
Gratitudes:
* Sunshine
* Competitive friends
* Work
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Sorry your mum's finding it so difficult to accept your house move, and is actually plugging against it, from the sound of it
that's rarely a positive
and wow, you're juggling a lot of things, all of them productive. Enjoy the cats in particular, though

I am watching your Vinted selling with interest as not used it yet and ebay is not moving on my clothes.. any tips?DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
