Cheery_Daff said:Eek to shoe buying! Sounds justified though - as long as you don't do it every week 😁
We had two raspberries on one of our bushes the other day. Sadly I spotted them just as a chicken was pecking them off 😂
That's bad luck about the raspberries! Mine aren't quite ready but an increasing number are on the turn to pink. The strawberries on the other hand are delicious! (Although far fewer)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Good walking boots are worth every penny - I have to say that since I spent a horrific amount on a new pair of Meindls last month2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8566

I have a little forest of raspberry canes at the bottom of my garden now - I hadn't realised the bullying nature, I need to work on that. Looking forward to the raspberries though
Argh to your shoe situation - I'm lucky that I have a lot of trainers/almost walking boots. I stocked up myself a while back, I have my sister's cast offs for casual, and even my mum's - I'm currently wearing a pair of light suede ankle boots in pink, with a fringe around the top edge! Quite unusual. Good to hear that you found a money off coupon, thats great.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Hi Vix, sorry I’ve not popped by for a while! Sounds like the garden is coming on well, I’m down to just tomatoes and courgettes this year as I killed off the rest 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

Morning all,
Really busy day yesterday with work, which is great, but why can't it be more spread out?! Another busy one today, with a deadline to meet, supposedly 2 Olio collections (but actually despite receiving two message saying there was something for me to collect this morning, there wasn't anything) and meeting a friend later (and her kitten!). I'd have slept better if I'd known I didn't have a collection to do this morning, but then, getting up and going at least got me out of bed. Feeling less stressed than I would have been, but so tired!
MS things:
* Work
* Clicks
* CD survey continues
* Still making the most of free food
Gratitudes:
* Work
* My beautiful cats
* My plug plants are no longer tiny babies - already doing their thing. Think timing with going away may be perfect - they'll have a couple of weeks to grow with care from BIL & fiancee and then we'll be straight into eating when we come back.
* Strawberries from the garden
Just having a quick break from work (have been at my desk since 8) and going to make a cuppa.
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Kittens! Singular or plural, all good to me
Have a good'un.

Hope you get a proper nap tonight! I think I need a greenhouse clearout - not got room for everything in the veg beds so there's no point keeping a million Brussels sprouts plants going just for the sake of it. I find it so hard to get rid of tiny plants though, and there are only so many people I know who want sprouts 😂5

Morning all,
Kitten, singular, was absolutely adorable Karma - you forget just how tiny they are! He was so hot though yesterday, bless him. But we made friends, had a play and he kept climbing over me, so I think we're good. Was lovely to see my friend too - haven't seen her in best part of two years, probably. And her children are all so lovely and polite - it was great to see them too.
Cheery, thanks for the thought, but no nap possible - the evening Tesco collection was *massive* - 100 items: 7 of the green crates you see in the fresh produce aisles, a sack of loaves and a bucket of flowers. Managed to shift most of it, but still took three crates and some bread down to the homeless shelter. It has sorted my lunch for today (prawn sarnie), dinner for tonight (stir fry veg) and more fruit for healthy snacks (and of course, more flowers - I had 10? bunches last night!). If we weren't going away I might have kept a few other bits, but there's a limit to how much veg you can get through. It was a late one in the end - took the stuff to the homeless shelter at about 11.15. And then didn't sleep so feeling rather tired again today!
A friend is coming later for a cuppa and catch up. We're exchanging plants - she's got a fern for me and I've got some rocket for her. I've also got some cut roses for her but she doesn't know that yet!
MS things:
* Free food
* Clicks done
* Plentiful work still (another project arrived yesterday, so my clients are keeping me busy)
* Returned a pair of shorts I bought at the weekend - they weren't right. Will probably replace with a pair of supermarket ones, so cheaper (but less ethical)
Gratitudes:
* Lovely catch up with friend, children and kitten (and a date in the diary for dinner too)
* Free food and flowers
* The gratitude of lovely Olioers - it's so nice to know you're making a difference to people and saving waste at the same time.
