Yeah, wobbles are very real, aren't they
I do think I watch too much news, that can't help.
Tell you a positive news story though: the Nazca lines in Peru now include a cat, drawn on the steep hillside above the plainbliss

Ooh, I had to look them up, but how cool - and I love the pics of the cat
(The problem I have with the news is that I genuinely enjoy current affairs and find it interesting (love Question Time, although I rarely stay up for it) - so it's a real struggle to avoid it, suspect you're the same Karma. But I've definitely felt happier not knowing recently - just a lightness in my life from not watching it)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I *am* the same, you're right. I try not to see too much that I don't have any influence over, or has a direct effect on me, but its hard not to get dragged in, especially with how peculiar are some of the headlines that Trump causes, I'm afraid. Life is lighter when I make that boundary, though.

I try to flick through the news online for no more than 10mins otherwise I find it all gets too depressing and my mood is altered all day.2025 decluttering: 3,973🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Afternoon,
Have had an email from main client to say to keep time free as there should be a steady stream of workI was expecting things to quieten down for a bit as the regular big project is more or less out of the way, so this is excellent news - it seems a pandemic can have an upside (as it's likely pandemic-related). He's also sent me the next job too, which is lovely and straightforward.
About to head out to collect my TGTG bag. Have done a couple of 1P surveys (now @ £9 again) and PA has cleared to £21.89. Went for a lovely long walk around the park and posted the 3-year-old's birthday card. Sent £10 from my current account across to savings as I won't need it now before the end of the month (entirely arbitrary decision!).Oh, and evening class homework done. Progress, progress! I didn't make biscuits in the end, but did use the heat from the oven to help my slowly drying chillies on their way.
Have a lovely evening all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Really good news about the work!Ug, news coverage. I *had* to watch the news from Manchester and Downing Street. So I *had* to write to my MP, which I've done by email. I can't tell you how angry I am. At least I was still polite.2023: the year I get to buy a car4

I can't begin on the news but I do wonder at the dim-wit questions from the press. Why is nobody flipping the assumption in Bozo's comment about "why should Manchester get more than Liverpool and Lancashire" to "why would you not increase the payments to Liverpool and Lancashire now that your plan is proving to be ineffectual and the rate is not falling to bring them in line with the costed figures that Greater Manchester have pulled together after months of semi-lockdown? And how long do you expect these major northern cities to be in subsistence mode before you take the scientific advice?" - Sorry but really!!!
Anyway, with no heating on the cat has decided my denim covered lower legs are the place to snuggle down after she's had her tea and treats. That is lovely. And so are the autumn colours, despite leaves everywhere and it causing me hay-feverSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Morning all,
Erm... folks, I'm trying to avoid the news and all stress related to it! Glad the cat has found a good spot to snuggle in though. I disturbed mine when I went to get a second pair of socks - he was lying curled up in the empty (Ikea bag) laundry bag on the floor (it was on its side, so the top curls over and they love that as a hiding place). He was only there and not on the bed because I'd not spread the fleecy blanket right across the bed and his brother was hogging the whole thing... spread the blanket out (underneath B&W cat), but B&W cat decided to move and promptly pinched the Ikea bag! I gave them treats to make up for disturbing them! (The MS bit of this is the second pair of socks to keep my feet warm, instead of putting the heating on!)
DH has taken the Mini to finally get the suspension set-up done - this garage actually has equipment that fits! Hooray! And it sounds like it'll be cheaper too.
TGTG bag was a bit disappointing last night - definitely less than usual in it and, apart from the loaf and the ring doughnuts, all for DH - bacon and chicken baguette, ham roll and chicken salad sandwich. Certainly not complaining, but not as great as normal. DH has taken the baguette for lunch, ate the roll as snack and the sarnie has gone in the freezer, along with the loaf. Doughnuts, of course, were dessert
Other main client sent a message last night saying there's a potential large project on the horizon for Nov/Dec, so that's great. It's possible I'd have to outsource some more to Mum, but we'll see what happens with it first. Am continuing with other project for other main client this morning. I have a survey item to post later (it's chucking it down here, so not really looking forward to that!). It's quiz night tonight, and we're doing it, so I've got to write a couple of rounds. One on money, I think - sure I can slip a couple of MSE-related questions in!
MS things:
* 1P surveys
* Clicks
* Thermals came out this morning - all toasty now!
* Dinner is going to be lentil and BNS curry - recipe found online - all ingredients we already have
Gratitudes:
* Lovely thick socks and thermals
* Trees look gorgeous, despite the rain
* Good evening class last night
Have a good day all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Your cats antics always make me smile. Glad your getting more work. We’ve got to nip out to the PO in the rain but DD2 new PA has signed her contract and we want her to start ASAP. Hope you have a good day.

The cats' antics make me smile too - and the look of hurt and bewilderment at the fact I'd disturbed them always gets me!
Great news about the new PA - for you, DD2 and the PA (I imagine, as jobs are hard to come by!). That's definitely worth getting wet for.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
