It sounds like very exciting times indeed @themadvix! The village you want to purchase in also sounds absolutely lovely too. How nice is it that people in the village all look after each other, thats just the type of place I would like to live in!
I hope you get lots of interest and a quick sale on your house! Best of luck.MFW - #133 - 2020 Challenge - £1230.67 / £1159

I’d possibly do the same Vix if it takes you to a different bracket and you are keen on somewhere. Great news hitting your op limit for the year too! 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

Gosh. It all sounds very exciting and the new house and village sound lovely. I am sure you will get a buyer for yours very soon. Houses are moving very quickly at the moment and new price will bring it up on more people's searches. I would put an offer in on the house you want, it is quite normal to put offers in when you haven't got an offer yourself. I've got my fingers crossed X6

That’s our plan BM, once we’ve given it a second viewing on Thursday - at the property, quite probably. I just want to see it in better light - it seemed a bit dark at points on Saturday, but the weather was awful (and even our super light house was gloomy).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Thanks for popping by Regularsaver - it does sound like a lovely village! Thanks NG and BM - I wasn't 100% convinced about changing the listing, so you've reassured me. It just seemed a bit soon/might look like we're desperate.
Annoyingly my phone has not been ringing off the hook this morning - but there's time yet. Also waiting on a call back from the vets as ginger cat needs an appointment - he's had a bit of an upset tummy for a few days (not unusual) and his bottom is looking rather sore (and a bit bloody)(Hazelnutty - I think it was you - I have visions of collar of shame and sudocrem too! (definitely worthy of
))
Am meeting Brownie friends for lunch today - have persuaded them to come up my way for a change, which is nice as it'll take less time out of my day. Otherwise, I'm waiting on calls, going to vets (potentially), getting the washing done while no viewings booked and cracking on with work.
I've been hopeless with cooking this past week. Have cancelled veg box again and determined to use things up. We're having minestrone tonight, which will be a start. If we run out of fresh stuff it would be good - there's still other bits we can eat and garden produce too. Need to start thinking about using up some of the more awkward stuff in the cupboards too so that we can move as little as possible (I'm not counting chickens, just aware we have quite a bit of food in at the moment!).
MS things:
* No veg box (and small supermarket delivery later ~£40)
* No petrol required for lunch out
* Clicks etc.
Gratitudes:
* Lovely evening yesterday and everything we saw seemed positive
* Excellent value TGTG bag
* Sunshine to dry my washing

Morning all,
Just returned from a very wet walk to the pharmacy while the viewing (singular) took place. The other viewing cancelled just beforehand. However, in good news (potentially, for us), the lady who was very keen the other day, but then saw something better was outbid on that property, so the agent is going to follow that up today and see if she'd like a second viewing here. So fingers crossed we hear some good news soon.
DH is out for lunch later, while I've got leftover minestroneI've got loads of work to do still - not at all complaining, but I might pop down for a cuppa with Mum later - I haven't seen her in a while and it would be nice to get out of the house (and not just to get out of the way of agents and viewers!). I need something from a shop in her town, so could combine the two things.
MS things:
* SM delivery arrived as I realised that I should have added various other things to it - we'll have to survive then, won't we?! Saved some money there!
* Dinner used up various bits and there's plenty for lunch today and tomorrow
* Clicks done
Gratitudes:
* EA was on time today
* Cats didn't escape
* Minestrone is yum
