One last question?

Options
Hello everyone, i posted earlier about my case and whether I should pay my ticket, I'll write it below so you know the full story.

I parked in my local college car park as I do every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday so I could attend the college. I signed up for car share permits which allow me to park in the car share spaces within the car park as long as I clearly display these permits on the dash so they are visible through the window. I do this every day as I always bring someone else to college with me, but on this particular day they must have slipped or blew off the dash when I shut the door to leave the car or at some point throughout the day. I know this as I returned to the car to find an excel parking services ticket on the window and the permits on the car floor invisible until you open the door and check. There are two signs in the car park which clearly outline these rules about the car share spaces, but I didn't disregard them on purpose.

I've been told numerous times by very helpful forum members to just ignore the fine/invoice, the only contact I have made was to challenge the fine on the grounds that I have permits they unfortunately were not visible... Today I received a letter saying that my challenge was unsuccessful (predictable)cand that I still have an opportunity to pay the discount price of £30 before the 21st of march, if I dint pay by then it will increase to £100 and consequences will continue to mount in the event of non-payment.

So there's the full story, I only have one question.

Do the company, have any case at all? Considering I signed up for the car share permits and they know I was driving.

P.s thank you and I apologise if any off you are angered by my constant worrying.. Please just give me one last piece of advice...

Any case at all for excel??? Even slightly? Thanks.

No case for them at all. Not even slightly. Be reassured :)
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

Excellent, thanks for your response, don't want to anger anyone, I hope you can understand I'm just worried, never dealt with this kind of thing before... I only asked because I thought me parking there or me signing the car share permit thing would have meant i had agreed to a contractual type of deal?

Yeah I know but I apologise for being worried, I can't really afford £30 never mind any other things which they threaten... Just want to make absolutely sure that none of my actions could constitute a fine... Like signing for the car share permits or the fact that they know I was driving... Again, thanks for your help.

I'll pm you a message with a letter that should get rid of the clowns once and for all. Just add the addresses and the ticket reference. Should be with you to get sent off tomorrow. OK? And don't be worried, I know how you feel, when I was a poor student once upon a time I was always worried about doing wrong.. you will learn the lessons of life, you have plenty of time.

We understand that it can be scary. You will always have the element of doubt "What if it's ME that they choose to take to court" etc. But you might as well ask yourself "What if it's ME that wins the lottery". Ain't gonna happen I'm afraid.

Or if you are into physics, consider quantum mechanics. The likelihood of them taking you to court is the same as my mouse suddenly shifting a millimetre to the left.

Which is (if I recall) the size of the mouse multiplied by the distance I want it to move multiplied by the size of the area in which the mouse is enclosed, all divided by Planck's constant.

Look that up, and you've learned something today :)

Wow thank you and if it's not too much trouble, I mean don't write one just for me, If you have a template or something that would be great, I'll send it off and then I'll make sure I make no further contact, lol I hope I didn't annoy anyone too much, I just worry far too much haha and wanted to clear things up once and for all.
