It's from Total Parking Solutions. It says they can take me to court or go through a debt recovery scheme. The car isn't mine.. It's dads and I know he won't believe I don't have to pay it.

Well then the fact is, Dad needs to learn, which is a good thing for when he gets one of these ridiculously-common fake PCNs himself! :)

I am sure he knows about email scams and wouldn't reply to an email that looks like it's from his Bank and asking him to confirm his PIN number? Explain that this is a similar well-known scam, impersonating authority by mimicking a parking ticket. Do not pay, do not 'appeal' (as if!!).

Show him the letters that will arrive (preview pics of all known letter-chains in the top thread). The same thread also has a must-see Watchdog clip which I am sure will convince him that you are indeed correct and that the whole scam is safe to ignore.

You do NOT need to waste your time getting pics of the sign. Just read the sticky thread and learn that this is all just a fake PCN, a con.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So there's no way people will turn up at the door demanding money?

Shop was closed so no loss to them, if they wanted to block the car-park off at night to prevent people parking there they should install a gate or a barrier to be closed after the store closes.

Told dad about it today and at first he was anoyed until he asked to look at it said 'That's a Mickey Mouse ticket you aren't paying anything towards it'

So now just to wait for the letters!

The TPS letter chain is fully detailed in the sticky at the top of this forum - Have a look to see what you are going to get and tick them off as one step nearer the end of the scam as they arrive.

That should also convince you/your dad that there is absolutely nothing to worry about by ignoring these scammers. :)

Hah, I don't know your Dad, but he is clearly a man who knows what he is talking about.

    My respects, Sir! :T
