Short break for 2 in Scotland, with one dog :-)

Can anyone recommend anywhere that is dog friendly?

Looking for something reasonably remote, near water/woods, somewhere we can go walking with our dog.

Prefer a lodge or small apartment, somewhere private, so not a b&b or hotel.

There just seems to be so much to choose from! We live near Glasgow, happy to travel for a 3-4 hours for somewhere nice and not that expensive :)
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

We stayed here last year and have booked to go back again in the summer. They allow up to 2 dogs per lodge at £15 each. The owners are quite flexible out of season so a short break shouldn't be a problem.

We stayed in Thistle lodge and it was lovely. Very quiet area overlooking the loch. The woods are just a short walk away.
  • Tomich holidays, just south of Drumnadrochit in spectacular Glen Affric. There's a choice of lodges or cottages. I've stayed there a few times and would highly recommend it.
