Are you in the Southern Hemisphere Silky Smooth?
I run a cake stall every summer here in the UK and as far as I am aware it is still legal here. However, it is advisable to wear gloves and use tongs rather than directly handle the cakes. I also use wet wipes for my hands as typically one is also handling the money.
Great advice from Full time mum there. It is also worth making sure you don't bake too much, it is better to sell out than have cakes leftover at the end.
Good luck Daisy boo.0 -

You could always take orders if demand way out strips supply!
I thought cake stalls for charity like the one you are planning were ok.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

Thanks, I will have to check what our village fete situation is before the summer then.0 -
Customers love bargains - try buy one got one free/half price, 3 for 2 and so on. You could maybe try this at the end of the sale to get rid of unsold stock.0

They will fly off the stall in the church - I run a church and whenever we have a fate etc, the cake stall is always the first to sell up,and also makes the most £££s. If any of the bakers has a food hygiene certificate, i would display that as well. Hope it's a success - I am sure that it will be.0

Sadly councils are starting to crack down on food stalls, even if a one off event for charity. I recommend you contact your local councils environmental health department for further info.
I'm running a similar stall in July, though not for charity - I'm starting my own cake decorating business. I'll be making indivdual cakes for sale and biscuits etc. I'll also be making 2 decorated cakes (one fruit, one sponge) that will be decorated to the theme of the event. This will be a raffle and you can either buy tickets or evenone that buys a bun/biscuit gets a ticket free!

If I was buying, I'd like to know if the products were vegeterian or not. Especially with jelly.0

Yes, clear labelling is a must i.e nut allergies, contains dairy etc
Yesturday I made some chocolate chip and mixed nut cookies and chocolate chip muffins, took them to work today (12 muffins & 8 cookies) and 5 people ate that full lot between them. I can send you the recipe if you want! I'll be costing the recipes out tomorrow so I'll let you know the costs per muffin and cookie too!
