Hi I hope someone out there can help me
I set up a password on my belkin router a while ago and cannot for the life of me remember what it was
Is there any way of resetting it or something
Thanks
Vicky

if you mean the router password, there is a reset button on the back, but it will lose all your router settings when you press it.
Defaults are Belkin 192.168.2.1 nousernameleaveblank nodefaultpasswordleaveblank
If you mean your wireless encryption key, then go to http://192.168.2.1 and look under the wireless settings, or use this on a working PC

Thanks for the info
What it is, when my router goes off - I have in the past gone to http://192.168.2.1 and then restarted the router - but since someone told me about security issues I put a password on the setting on the 192.168.2.1 site and this is the password I cannot remember.
If I press the reset button at the back of the router (which I have done before will this get rid of the password) i have only previously used the reset button on the back before I put a password on it
Sorry to be a pain I am not very technical

It will reset the router to the state it was when you bought it, meaning that it will lose all your isp details/password and encryption passwords, so you will have to reconfigure it again.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Hi Vicky
this link
http://www.belkin.com/support/download.asp?lang=1&download=F5D7633uk4A&mode=
will take you to the support page for your unit. The link to download the manual is not working at present but if you click on the link there is also a link to email for assistance. Belkin have great support and usually get back to you quickly.Comping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00 -
You will need your isp username and password, and encryption key, or you will have to setup encryption up again.

Hi Back - but no sucess - the password is still showing as invalid and belkins default should be to just leave the box blank but when I press submit it comes up with "password Invalid"
Thanks for all the advice - I think I will just have to speak to Belkin in the morning.
Enjoy the rest of whats left of your evening and once again thanks so much
