invoicing for time

Hello
I've just spent the best part of a month trying to sort out problems with the bank cancelling direct debits, insurance etc being cancelled as a result.
I've heard Martin talk about invoicing companies for the time it takes to sort out problems / complain / etc. Is this actually possible or is it just a fantasy?
Has anyone ever tried it?
Thanks
Mark

I think it often depends upon the company you are dealing with, how much they have cost you and what you charge.
I think if you were to work out your hourly rate, and honestl;y estamate how long it took you to sort out you could send the bill to the chief exec of the bank, if no joy ask it to be taken to the banking obudsman because if i remember right it costs the bank £200 just to get the ombudsman involved in a case, (with this in mind if your invoice comes to l;ess than £200 and is "reasonable", you might just be in for a suprose)

I got so fed up with post addressed to our house instead of to a nearby Ministry of Defence establishment that I started emailing invoices to the guilty parties. Only got one cheque back, but on the whole the stream of wrongly addressed letters either dried up, or the sorting office started intercepting them rather better.Signature removed for peace of mind0
