Feeling lazy this week, as ive got 2 weeks off work :) thought I would do it the easy way and give you all some pretty pictures instead of walls of text. You might have to squint a little for this one, I should have done the pages 1 at a time instead of the double spread.

If you want any more info on the products, dont hesitate to ask, chances are somebody will know the answer

* not a regular Lidl product, while stocks last.

Weekend offers DO vary depending on the store location. To see what your local store has on offer plug your postcode into the Lidl website.

Sorry am squinting at these and can't read them well :( I had a look online at Lidl website and this leaflet isn't up yet.

Could you please post details of the fish and seafood and also the deluxe meat stuff for Easter. The only one I can make out fairly well is the Three Fish Roast 5.49 which was in my local store last week. We had one before over New Year and OH loved it.

    Enjoy your holiday !

I did a Lidl food shop the other week, and got to say that some of their food was better than asda and tesco. Their meat fridge is good, I always get chicken, turkey, mince etc from there and it's cheaper than the other supermarkets.

    Thanks kc101 :D

I have my eyes on the clams and lobster and possibly the veal joint. Might try the lobster soup as the price is excellent and it would be interesting to see how it compares with Perard bisque de homard. Haven't tried Lidl rib eye steaks before so those are a possible.

I can recommend the Barbary duck breast fillets and the lobsters (still have two lurking in my freezer).

The British duck portions seems expensive when I have gotten offers on Gressingham legs ie 2.65 a pack (Morrisons) and 3 packs for £10 (Waitrose).

I think the diced shoulder of venison is expensive as it's farmed stuff from NZ and unless a young animal may be tough. I had some fantastic diced wild venison recently from Morrisons that was cheaper.

Reindeer legs.. really ? Glad I don't have kids as I'd hate to try convincing them no they aren't Rudolf's legs..

OH really enjoyed the Three Fish Roast. I'd like to try the MSC hake (probably South African) but it looks to have some carby glaze on top :( I have had the Aegean sea bass fillets before and they're OK, nothing special. ASDA does fresh ones occasionally which I prefer. Aegean in this instance simply means farmed in Greece.

The Petit Cherba is yummy, I buy it every time I go to Lidl. It's better when it gets a bit ripe n runny, then it's like a sort of goaty Brie if that makes sense.

OH reckons the EV olive oil deal isn't that good compared to the previous XXL one when 1 L was 2.99

ETA: been to Morrisons today, 2 Gressingham duck legs 2.65 again :)

The reindeer comes from Siberia so no need to worry about it being one of santas ;)

as for the hake, yes they are in a glaze, ive not seen these before but may well try them out

    they come in :

    Lemon & black pepper
    sweet chilli
    rosemary & olive
    garlic & herb

The rosemary and olive glaze might be OK for me thanks kc101 If you like fish, hake has an unusual flavour but if you're one of those people who prefers fairly bland fish like cod you might not.
  • We love lidl and aldi for thy matter as they stock such a different variety of produce than your average Uk supermarket. It's great that they seem to be popping up all over the place now too
