Internet download capacity

I'm having problems with AOL - its off more than its on!! I'm thinking of moving to BT - their deals look the best to me if I add in my landline as well (which is currently with BT). However, the only confusion I have is with download limits. My AOL is currently unlimited. I live on my own and use Facebook/email/Ebay etc every evening. I don't download films or music. What should I go for? 10gb, 40gb or unlimited? I should add that my daughter is at uni and when she's home obviously the above usage can double!!
Thanks.
Thanks.

Never heard anyone say BT is cheap before.
AOL were awful 10 years ago. Talk talk as always been good for me - but i think they own AOL now. Plusnet is cheap for just broadband.
Check AOL don't continue taking money when you leave. They used to have a bad rep for it, and did it to me.
Ive got 40gb - but watch footy on the net. Just had a free trial with netflix and it took me over the limit.
You dont have to download anything to use your allowance. Watching any video/ streaming clip eats up for allowance, eg youtube etc.0 -
It's total data usage that is measured, that includes streaming, downloading or uploading. Every web page you view uses data, as does every email. Sounds like 10GB might be enough for you, but not for your daughter.
Suggest you install a free broadband monitor and measure your own usage. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
