Morning all, bit late this morning. Already been baking since before 7 as off to see friends tomorrow and wanted to bake before it gets too hot. Also cut the lawns too and done the ironing from yesterday.

CW - hope DH is feeling a bit better today.
Hope those been bitten have found a solution.

Definitely, now sitting down with a cup of tea and going to shorten a dress I bought mum for her birthday as it is too long on her. She is only tiny, so it needs a huge amount taken off. A busy day all round, this afternoon going over to mum to take her out shopping and to a garden centre as she wants some new plants in the garden in memory of dad.
Guess this evening, I will be planting the new plants. :rotfl::rotfl:

At least I have a day off tomorrow as meeting up with an old school friend and her family on Anglesey. Just hope the weather is kind to us.

Afternoon all:) Boy it's hot here

Bully this is exactly how our taxes should be getting spent helping people to improve their lives. Things that bug me, we are suppossed to be in a recession money tight so why are our local council doing a major refurb in the town putting in plants changing the road layout all that money for a new look:eek: why when it's been ok for years why not put the money into services for the elderly, disabled and less fortunate people that are already struggling to get by in these hard times.

CW hope your DH gets well soon:A

MT also hope your DH gets well soon he may also need to seek medical help if not improving much:A

SND what a busy morning you had hope you enjoy your day out with friend :A

No time right now to read posts, sorry peeps, will really try and see what you have all been up to tomorrow.....thanks for text Blue and thanks for email Doc.....
Been a very long day....grandkids did really well and worked really hard testing implants....granddaughter could recognise different pitch within a few minutes, grandson said it was weird vibrations and a feeling of sound of some sort....basically just white noise, but knew when we were speaking, although it was just a noise nothing like what we hear, now they have to just use the one implant and read out loud to themselves or watch something on the TV with subtitles and train their brain to make that noise equal whatever word they say or read on the screen, like when you are teaching your children to read and you put a sign on the table that says 'Table' but they already know it says table , but now have to say it out loud and hear what TABLE sounds like....they have to be careful when wearing both implants that the new one does it's equal share of the work in sending messages to the brain....it is so complex, they have both got to go again tomorrow, and then next week and the every month for the rest of the year, depends how they get on with them now....could take 1 year could take 5 yrs.....phew!!! they were then given all the kit that comes with them in a case ( the size of a carry on bag), spare batteries, they will use 6 a day each, rechargeable batteries and chargers, a box they have to keep them in that is powered to dry them overnight, as they get a lot of moisture in them, all sorts of spare bits and pieces, a remote control to save them having to take them on and off to adjust various aspects and of the sound levels, screwdrivers and ear pieces and magnets that hold them in place on their heads....and small earphones that connect to the behind the earpiece no so they can listen to music....each bag was worth around £5000....the implants were £20,000 each and the ops cost a whole lot more....if you want to know where your taxes are going , my grandkids ,in their lifetime have had around £200,000 worth of it...thank you so much!!!
Early night for me, am exhausted.
