    hi CW

thanks for this, i wasn't happy and won't take paypal payment not refunded yet though as when i posted this on ebay thread i was told first to give it time and get him to confirm a collection date.

he messaged me on 6th to which i replied same day
still waiting on reply and still have his money. so you'd think he'd check his account for an answer to his message

so if i refund and leave him a message to say please pay cash on collection re: my add.
    i should be ok.
more worried about bad feedback than FFVs

will link in my ebay thread post so you can see what i posted & was told

Don't care what crowqueen says, he admits he doesn't know much about collection items.

Cash on collection is the way to go. Whereas you have to put paypal on all listings I sell a lot of stuff collection only and rarely have a problem. I put on the item description Payment on collection. Never send the buyer an invoice for a collection item. Just send a message via ebay asking when they can collect and pay cash for the item. If someone were to insist on paying by paypal I would not let them collect as you cannot prove delivery to paypal.

A while back I had one buyer who paid via paypal. I refunded his money as its a scam so they cannot get a non payer bidder strike. He already had agreed to pay cash when he collected. Bear in mind that a lot of sellers block buyers with 2 npd strikes.

If I were you I would send a friendly message asking if they still want the item as you need it moving by Sunday. If they say they will collect then inform them you will refund the paypal payment and they can pay cash when they come and collect.

Looks to me as if they don't want it anyway so you will probably end up refunding. As they paid you cannot open a npb or do a mutual cancellation request. You will need to phone ebay and get your fvf refunding.

Good luck hun, hope all goes well.

One of the few happy memories I have of growing up was going to see a neighbour a few doors down from us. She had a massieve pond and I loved seeing the fogs, many a happy time spent there. Sadly the lady passed a couple of years ago.

Iv'e always wanted a pond but our garden is to small. Do you have any toads? oh hates them but i love them.

    xx

I have a pond in my garden, we get loads of frogs and we get frogspawn and tadpoles as well.

The magpies sometimes come and eat the tadpoles, or at least thats what it looks like they are doing.

We love the frogs, as they eat slugs which I hate, and the only problem is watching you don't hurt them when mowing the lawn. My DS has to pick them up and put them out of harms way in the borders.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    thanks CW

that was what i was thinking but after CQ i wasn't so sure. first time i had this with a collection item, usually no problem at all ,like you.
i suspect he paid via paypal to avoid the NPB , as no contact for 9 days before that and none since.
all this messing around, if he didn't want it then he just had to say not wait until i filed a NPB even then i feel he could have called or messaged me instead of paying , as he had my phone number.
i had collection only and prefer cash on collection on ad but did make the mistake of sending an invoice.

its not a huge item & not in the way thankfully.
will message again as you say and give him til say sunday to collect. will then message him about refund & paying cash on collection if he replies
But i have a feeling i won't, although to me thats daft when i have his money in my paypal account.

when i message him again how long do you think i should wait for a reply.

many thanks CW, knew i should have posted here 1st

Buyers usually pay when a npb is opened to avoid the strike. Do you ever read the ebay chat boards on ebay, they are full of great advice. Do you have blocks in place to stop buyers with over 2 strikes from buying.

I would send a polite message saying you need it moving by Sunday and could they pay cash on collection and you would refund the paypal payment. If they don't answer by Tuesday I would do the refund and give them a day or so to respond. You will lose .20p when you do the refund btw as paypal keep part of the paypal fees for providing the service.:(

Then I would contact ebay and ask for my fvf back. By contacting ebay and getting your fees back you are flagging up the problem buyer for them which is a good thing. Explain that he only paid to avoid the npb strike it seems as he had no intention of collecting. Ebay will read all the messages between you.

If you don't refund he will no doubt open a ebay dispute against you which means you could get into trouble with ebay. I know you say the fvf aren't important, but you need to do this to ensure any bad feedback he might leave has a chance of being removed.:(:(

Have you checked his feedback, the feedback he has received and the feedback he leaves as well. This could highlight a problem buyer. Also check his purchases, has he bought another item like yours in the last few weeks, maybe cheaper. Has he collected other items since so you know he is telling porkies.

    Good luck hun

We get loads of frogs and got a lot of snails as well. Don't mind snails but hate slugs.

When we had the bad rain storms a couple of weeks ago the pond over flowed and a lot of frogspawn and tadpoles were washed into the garden. They were eaten by the birds unfortunately.:( My garden where the pond is was under about 6 inches of water.

See my pm hun. Buyer actually bought another collection item 4 days after yours. Looks like a change of mind buyer which is a nuisance.

Checked his feedback and he isn't a serial negger or anything suspicious about that.
