We liked the travelodge at Ashbourne as the staff were very friendly. There is a Marstons pub there but it is very expensive and the people serving are miserable, but it has free wifi. We went once for half an hour and that was enough as my blue was warm (cold once we got it changed) and OH's beer was orrid he said. We didn't really need the pub though as we had our electric cool box, along with our slow cooker (diced turkey and chicken tonight/packet noodles) and toaster so we were well prepapred. We watched the footy in the room and by the time it was all over we were both pretty tired with the long day at AT so weren't too bothered about going partying tbh. I think I slept for at least 6 hours:eek::eek:

Tend to find the staff at most travelodges are very friendly in general :T

Mum wants to go and spend a couple of hours on her own at home tomorrow so will leave her in the afternoon, but some people have offered to pop in and say hello so will ask them to do that.
Hubby making lots of calls, so he is getting through that.

Now trying to get mum to decide on hymms, readings etc - just hoping the funeral director will give some guidance.

Might even do some baking later today as that will help things feel a little more normal. I usually do loads of baking, but living on ready meals and bought cakes/biscuits at the moment, not very MSE, but the only way so far this week but really missing home made stuff.

It is very difficult for your mum she must be so lossed:( You just have to support her as much as you are able with her wishes. Good that there are people who going to drop in and keep an eye out for her:A.

Remember the funeral directors are experienced where it's all new to you so am sure there isn't a question they have not heard before being asked, they will hopefully be able to guide you in decisions you not sure about.

Hi MT. Sorry to hear about your car troubles. Taxis and bus fares soon build up don't they? Hopefully you will definitely get your car by the weekend. You are welcome to have a moan whenever you like.
