MT, I heard back from Royal Mail and they said they would deliver the box today. I am at work again so hope they give it to a neighbour
Will let you know tonight and thank you once againYou can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you. ~John Wooden 154/06/2700 -

If family and friends offer support and practical help, take it, don't say no. It can make a big difference even if a friend can take on a small task. Your OH sounds a good support.

Mum wants to go and spend a couple of hours on her own at home tomorrow so will leave her in the afternoon, but some people have offered to pop in and say hello so will ask them to do that.
Hubby making lots of calls, so he is getting through that.
Now trying to get mum to decide on hymms, readings etc - just hoping the funeral director will give some guidance.
Might even do some baking later today as that will help things feel a little more normal. I usually do loads of baking, but living on ready meals and bought cakes/biscuits at the moment, not very MSE, but the only way so far this week but really missing home made stuff.0 -
Snd - the funeral directors will tell you what hymns/songs are available. They have certain ones on cd. If you want anything different, if your dad had a particular favourite song then you can put it on cd and give it them or the church/crematorium whichever service your having.
The funeral directors will answer all sorts of questions and help whenever possible. Don't be afraid to ask them for advice.
(((hugs))) to you and your mum.
Your mum will want to be in her own home to feel closer to your dad in a way, its where they lived for many years, she won't want to let go for a while yet (if ever) and all you can do is support her in her wishes.
Take care and remember we are all here for you. (((hugs)))
