Snowdrop, we are sending you our deepest condolennces for your loss. xx
When my dad passed away, we were quite glad in a way because he no longer have to endure his pain. He has been suffering for number of years and every year his health wasn't getting any better because he refused to take his medication. Last December he cud not even eat nor drink properly and he was in pain 24/7. There is nothing we can do to ease his suffering except buying his favourite food for him to eat even a mouth full.
We think of our beloved parent with all the happy memories with us.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

No BLUE, they won't cancel GT claims. Remember sometime ago a few of us received double bonus from them. Well it looks like they like GT:D:D:D unless GT won a comp from their FB:beer:RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
I think T has gone barmy:D:D I just check my gmails & found at least 20 posts from them. Their new pric3 pr0mis3 setting must have trigger it off - I got all my old JTDs back as far as April transaction:eek::eek: can't use any of them sadly.
That's Tekco for us. Always make mistake, Such a big company & they can't keep/maintenance their own system:rotfl:
Got alot to do today. Later I am going to bake tarts, bake cadbury chock cake, preparing for tonight's dinner, making another batch of prawn rolls and before that taking DS & DD2 shopping using their l2s vouchers & share holders Burton cards:D have not decide what to eat for lunch yet most probably to McD using LV mocs - so free lunch:D
Talk later. xxRIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
Morning all, just popped on to post that we had enjoyed our break away in Cornwall, but got a phone call at tea time yesterday to say dad feeling poorly again, so we had decided to come home today, then got another call within an hour to say he had passed away.
Just can't believe my lovely dad is no longer with us and I can't even say goodbye to him as the coroner needs to be informed and that won't happen till Monday so the earliest I can see him is Tuesday. Now don't know whether or not I want to see him then as don't know what he will look like after a few days. I would definitely have gone to see him when we got home but now not so sure.0 -
Dear Snowdrop
I agree with Aesop about going to see your Dad. Thrown into a nightmare and having no experience of seeing someone who had left this world I was reticent, hell - scared to say the least about seeing Chloe, but from the moment I was alone in that room with her I felt such serenity. I spend every moment possible with her during the days before she was laid to rest. I used the opportunity to tell her all I wished I had a chance to say before, read her favourite childhood stories, stroked her hair and her flawless skin and kissed her coldness. Of course, there were tears, a tsunami of them, they fell, in slow motion and got mixed in with my words but I am so thankful that I did for you never ever get another chance. My only regret is not keeping for myself a lock of her hair, I so wish I had, it might be something you would like to do.
I appreciate its not for everybody and I may myself feel different when its my parents' time but I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever.
Be guided by your heart and trust its decision. Thinking of you at this so difficult timexLove, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x
My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x0 -
shopndrop I am so sorry to hear about your dad. It isn't much comfort now but I think in weeks/months to come you will take comfort from the fact you have done so much for him in the last few months and spent a lot of time with him recently. As doc says, he is now in no pain now.
I went to see my dad a few times in the chapel of rest and it was the first time I had ever been so was very scared not knowing what he was going to look like, but I am glad I did. Like Mags Chloe, he looked just like he was sleeping. It does give you a chance to say your own goodbye and anything else you want to, but it isn't for everyone as some people want to remember them the last time they saw them, but I think it will probably be something you may decide as you get outside the chapel door. Don't be pushed into doing anything as you have plenty of time to decide and most chapels are open nearly 24 hours.
In these cases there are no words really, just know that we are all thinking of you and here if you want to chat/tell us any memories or just talk about anything but.
Mags, when you first posted a picture of Chloe I couldn't see it on my laptop for some reason but whilst I was away I saw the pic on my phone and she was a lovely girl.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Just caught up with posts and sorry to hear of your loss SnD, very sad time for you, and what a lovely post from MAG. I'm sure the sentiments of all the other posters will bring some comfort to you both....you peeps on here are so very special.
Safe journey home for AH ....missed you Blue? Thought you were coming to see me?
Went to Blenheim yesterday and the weather was so kind, very windy but no rain until the journey home.Really enjoyed it and although it was a visit with my Buyagift vouchers( using them up rapidly), the form was changed to tickets and then converted FOC to an annual pass...will definitely go again as we never got chance to see a lot of gardens and the lake....we had the 'afternoon tea'....very refiined....finger sarnies( 2 ham and mustard, 4 egg mayonnaise and 4 cream cheese and chive) 2 scones with lots of cream and jam, 2 slices of fruit cake, 2 strawberry tartlets, 2 merangues, 2 chocolate brownies and as many pots of tea or cups of coffee we could drink...that combined with entry to the Palace and gardens used up £85 of the vouchers....still got £327 out of the original £600 to use.....now where to next????
Shopped in Morrisons today and used the £5 cond spend and no other coupons, but well pleased with the prices of their fruit....huge pineapples at £1 each,( got 3) bags of 7 Braeburn apples @£1 and 7 pears@ £1...the bananas , grapes and large oranges , plus mandarins were a good prices too....lots of fruit for under a tenner....didn't have the Walkers sensations coupons on me, but they are on promo there 2 for £3.Waiting for the £10 coupon to come from the :Pringles text comp, if it comes this week will shop there again.Nice to see most of the supermarkets are selling milk for £1 again( the 4 pint size)....
Have to say the staff were extrememly helpful when I could not find things, not like T's at all.....0 -
