    Hi BL,

Glad you got LIDL near you...
Apart from their weekly fruit and veggie offers which are great, they also add non food items every thursday/ monday. These items are usually seasonal but many times great quality and value...;)

I do use their frying pans which are much much thicker than any other branded ones and last much longer.:)

But sadly they don't accept coupons....:o

BL, some of Lidls own brand goods are just as good as branded ie washing up liquid, shampoo. Have heard others that shop there recommend them. Also they have great bargains on their meat, sign up for the emails and they let you know the following week's offers.

Great, thanks for the tips :)

Part mouse sorry to hear about your problems with your place-we've had problems with damp and black mould in our flat as well, and its newbuild but also housing association. It turned out our problems were due to a leak in the boxed off bit behind the toilet caused by a botched repair to the flush mechanism (done by the housing association, not by us), they fixed the leak but a certain amount of damage has already been done-the back walls of the bathroom and my sons' room is ruined and the leak wrecked the flooring in both bathrooms also and there is a permanent musty/damp smell and the housing association won't sort it out. We're pretty fortunate though as some of the flats on the ground floor have really serious issues with damp and a smell of sewage and neither the housing assoc nor the homebuilders will take any responsibility nor seek to repair the problem, one neighbour she had to just lock up her living room and one of the bedrooms and never use them because of this. Also it being a flat they jack up the service charge loads every year and yet it seems they do less and less maintenance and repairs every year, grrr. There is some real cowboy building/repair work being done for and by housing associations and it just beggars belief, it happens in the private sector also but there is a chance of taking the private landlord to court and winning in that case-if its a housing association you never seem to get anywhere :( I really hope you can find somewhere more suitable xx
