Quoia are they saying they are going to fix it sometime soon or did you get a megga gift card from them?

I think they have all the information they need but they do have my number if they want to call me. (They did twice when I reported the Morrisons N/A issue in January)

However I'm not 100% sure the CS APG person I spoke to fully understood the seriousness of the problem from their point of view - potentially every APG receipt check that includes a VATable item will be wrong - NOT something Asda wants to do (or be associated with) and a VERY URGENT thing that they will want to fix.

The same was said about the Morrisons N/A - When they had enough evidence/details to go to mysupermarket to determine the problem and work out the fix, they called and let me know.

If I remember right I provided the final lot of details on a Wednesday and they called back Thursday to say that I should be able to re-input "failed receipts" after the weekend - "Try them again on Monday"

SO, don't expect these to change today or even tomorrow - might be a few days :(

IF they let me know, I'll let you know :)

Thanks for the reply quoia. I hope they are giving you/have given you something for all your time on the phone etc. They must have saved a fortune since it happened. I have looked at my receipts and am surprised how many items are vat items.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Just been on the phone for 25 minutes

    VAT

Checked a lot of receipts and EVERY item that is VAT applicable has the WRONG price (VAT EXCLUDED) on the APG check SINCE 14:03 on 26th March

The EX-VAT figure is JUST for ASDA
Tesco Sainsburys Morrisons etc. figuers are STILL INC. VAT

    A 12:30 receipt for 26/3 is fine

Dog Food, Crisps, McVities, Lemonade, Fruit Juice - all correct

After 14:03 on 26th and on the 27th

    Baker's Dog Food £1.67 (£2)
    Toothpaste £1.66 (£2)
    Caramel Wafer 33p (40p)
    Easter Egg 83p (£1)
    Robinson's Squash 83p (£1)
    Baco Foil 83p (£1)
    Right Guard Deodorant £1.67 (£2)
    Febreze £2.50 (£3)
    Popcorn 83p (£1)
    Evian water £3.05 (£3.66)
    Coca Cola £2.08 (£2.50)

I'm not checking any more receipts UNTIL I KNOW IT'S FIXED

I'll just keep trying one of the old ones

If you look at your receipt(s) the LAST COLUMN after each price

    D = NO VAT
    V = VAT

IF your receipt has "V"s on it AND the check has compared this/these items (ie NOT N/A) then your APG is WRONG

NO APG MIGHT BECOME SOME APG
SOME APG SHOULD BECOME EVEN MORE APG

Thanks for contacting asda, saves us all doing it, but something is still wrong.

Just input a receipt from today (wombled of couse) and £10 wine shows as £8 something which does have the V next to it

    BUT
an item with D against, white finger rolls is wrong as well. They are .65p on the receipt but show as .50p on the asda price check. As its from this afternoon the price should be correct for this one.

Maybe a few complaints to Trading Standards might help if they don't get their act together quickly.

Sussed out what they have done re the rolls. Customer had bought 3 different types of rolls under the buy 3 for £1.50. only 1 pack has been counted, the rest are n/a for some reason.

I was just about to make the same point :D

Asda have 38 items (according to mysupermarket) that comply for the 3 for £1.50 offer - obviously 2 of them are not comparable at whichever competitor you checked

Another one to watch out for ..... ASDA employee

ALL prices will be discounted on the APG if they've used their discount

There is a note to this effect but you do have to look for it ...
.... and then you'll see it on the receipt :)
