Why is your car costing you so much? Are you really paying £210 a month in insurance?

Are you certain that you are claiming everything you are entitled to? Your income seems very low

They don't have to pay any rent or council tax out of that though, and they're both unemployed?

I'd definately get rid of the car. You dont NEED it desperately and tbh, you cant afford it. Selling it will give you a bit of a cushion in emergency savings, plus your monthly expenditure will be much, much lower. In your position I'd be looking to do it straight away - ie. this weekend!

Agreed. You can't afford a car, and chances are you don't need one.

I'm sorry if I'm being a bit dim, but if you have approx 33 per month left, and your DD needs new trousers why don't you just buy them out of this.

Also I'm with the other posters, get rid of the car and sky, if your struggling that much then these things have to go. You should be able to find a BB/telephone provider for way less than 45 per month, sell the car that will give you a lump sum and then you will have 260ish extra a month. You will save of the petrol as well, so should have over 300 extra per month.

It's not rocket science, if you aren't working and can't afford it then why keep it?

I agree with the others. Get rid of the Sky package, that is a luxury.

If you have mobiles, you don't need the landline, swop the SKY TV for a freeview box and the BB for a PAYG dongle.

Your car costs are ridiculous in comparison to your income! If you can do without it, get rid of it.

If not........ The price of your road tax suggests that it's a large ish car. Can you not trade it in for something smaller that is cheaper to run / tax and insure?

Also, can I just ask, whyis your car insurance £2520 a year?!?! Were you or your OP previously banned or something? That's outrageous and you DEFINITELY can't afford it on your income.

I was looking for trousers for you, here are some Tesco basic jeans for £3, they have leggings and tracksuit bottoms for a similar price. You can collect in store.

But I misread your OP and thought you said she was age 3 but on rereading I think you mean she only has 3 pairs? How many more does she need?

Edit : reread, she's 3 with 3 pairs of trousers - that should be fine, surely?

Are you sure you have the correct figure re the car insurance? you paid £750 deposit and now £210 for 9 months? Is that correct? So you are paying nearly £3000 in car insurance?

And I agree, age 3 with 3 pairs of trousers is enough and not a priority.

And surely your OH only needs his id card if he is about to return to Portugal for a visit. Can he afford this in the near future? If not, can't he delay renewing his card for a bit, until he has found a job?

Is the 3 pairs of trousers the only clothes your child has? Or is it that she has additional clothes including 3 pairs of trousers? When my DD was a little bit older than yours due to a space issue at that time, I reduced the amounts of clothing she had to 5 x bottoms and 8 x tops and this was loads for her. If skirts and dresses are becoming a bit short do you have any tights she can wear with them? I find I'm able to get away with DD wearing her clothes that are slightly too short for her if they are teamed with tights/leggings.

Get rid of the car, yes inconvenient but looks like you will need to, for now.
    Ditch Sky.
Re childrens clothing, try freecycle/freegle, charity shops, sales.
    Can you ebay anything ?
Do you have any skills/spare time/ (energy lol) ? Could you take in ironing, dog walk anything like that....even if not now, then once baby is born and you are feeling better ?
    Best of luck.

Where in the country are you OP?

By chance, I've had a clear out of my LO's clothes today. I've found 4 pairs of trousers (plus various T-shirts, jammies and light weight jackets) all aged 3-4 yrs.

You are welcome to them if you can make use of them. :)
