Breville Kettle

we purchased a breville kettle 15 months ago, it has started to leak and is dangerous. i contacted breville for their comment. to say they weren't bothered is an understatement. it was nothing to do with us speak to argos where we brought it. so morale of the situation do some reasearch as we would have found out breville kettles are cr*p and would have brought another make. just disgusted with brevilles response to a very serious health issue - leaking boiling water and electricity.

So you're not alone thinking Breville couldn't carealess.
EDIT.....If they and you have a facebook/twitter account you could post something on there.0 -
Don't think any of my kettles have lasted for 15 months, something always goes wrong before then. Argos are usually pretty good in exchanging them though.
Which breville kettle did you have?0 -
So have you got back to Argos now then. Have they done anything.
Not sure that Breville products come with a 2 year gauranteemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

no brought a morrisons basic kettle, use it and throw it when you have an issue, the kettle had a 12 month guarantee so in the scrap bin (it was a satin stainless jug kettle - it leaked where the plastic guage joined the metal) my veiw it is a design fault but it dripped boiling water and leaked onto the base plate where the power connector is - that was why i contacted breville.0
-
Did you check whether it had a 1 or 2 year guarantee, I thought all Breville products had a 2 year one but I may be wrong.
Maybe worth checking but that would mean you would also have to have the receiptmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Is that a hamsterfan family tradition?
My family usually just blow up balloons at Christmas.0 -
Breville kettles are indeed crap and dangerous. Whoever designs them must be a complete idiot. I now use Russell Hobbs and never have a problem0

Mines a Wahl and it's ok.0
