    Not sure how a voice activated satnav going to work in a convertible anyway, as soon as the roof goes down it's going to work about as well as a Glaswegian with an iPhone.

    Hahaha! Love it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I'm sure they dissable it for a good reason, probably to stop wind noise when the roof's down from retuning your radio every second or shuffling the disks in the CD changer. You'd probably want it dissabled again within a few miles. :rotfl:

    The button's on the steering wheel because they more than likely don't make a steering wheel with just the voice control button missing. The bean counters probably put a stop to one being specially made for the minority of soft tops that would be sold.

    S*** happens, it could be worse.

    Was the car advertised (in the printed advert) as having voice-activated-whaterver it is?

    I've used voice activated stuff and they are pretty crap to be honest. It's much easier to move your left hand 8 inches to the left and press the button you actually want. Rather than having an argument with the car.

    The car technically DOEs have voice command. But it's disabled...

    If its a beemer its easy for the local techy guy to adjust everything just to the way you want it. If you've just dropped a load on a franchised dealers car, go mental, get a free car wash, get it to speak spanish to you and still, get all the settings - that are cleverly and germanically hidden away - suited to you.
