Skype Pro - unlimited landline calls - €2 a month

From MacWorld :-

Skype has launched a new service, Skype Pro, offering free phone calls to domestic landlines in Europe for a subscription charge of just €2 (excluding VAT) per month.

Skpe Pro also offers free voicemail, a discount on SkpeIn numbers (which allow others on mobile or fixed lines to dial a Skype user) and €5 of SkypeOut credit.

These features complement existing services, such as free calls and video calls between Skype users, instant messaging, file transfer, ten-way conference calls and 100-person group presentations.

The service will initially be available across Europe in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Spain and the UK

Skype Pro will be rolled out to other countries worldwide later in 2007.

  • Its £11.50p including vat for first 5 months. The calls are not free because their is a connection charge for each one.Its not unlimited a fair/reasonable use policy operates.
  • yes just to clarify.

It is 3.3 (GBP) per call, and at the moment they count unlimited as 3000 mins per month.

It does seem a bargain though.

The cost is not £11.50 That is the euro prices...

the UK prices are at http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/products/skypepro/

Basically, £9.20 for 5 months with the VAT.
    includes £4 of skypeout credit.
3.3p connection charge for each call
unlimited is 3000 mins per month

After 5 months it is 2 Euro a month, (approx £1.35)

    IMPORTANT

The original post does make out that the calls are European, that may be the case (?) but from what I can see at the moment it is for "NATIONAL" calls only. IE calls from UK to UK or from France to France.
