I attempted to copy mp3s which Dad has on his pc and he wants on a cd/dvd so he can listen to them in his car. I used Easy Media Creator to copy the mp3s but every time I insert a cd or dvd it states "Pleaseinsert a rewritable CD into the MATSHITA BD-RE (F:) drive
Supportedmedia: CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, DVD RAM,BD-R, BD-RE
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or is it not possible to copy mp3 to cd or dvds? BTW the cd and dvd I am using are one of the ones mentioned!

before saying anything. what type of cd player has your father got. is it a CD player that can play mp3's directly from cd meaning you can get about 250 songs on 1 cd for it. or is it just a standard cd player. if its the 2nd type you'll need to convert the mp3's in cdda format which should be done by the cd burner software that m5rcc mentioned
if its a mp3 cd player then just drag and drop and burn as a data cd.
with most cd players you can use CD-RW or CD-R.0 -

I honestly don't have a clue what type of cd player he has. I will need to find out what type of cd player he has then?!? I don't think I will be near there until Wednesday of next week, 14th March. I might phone Mum & Dad to see if they can tell me.0 -
The capacity of the DVD more than CD. The capacity of the CD is generally 650 ~ 700MB, DVD capacity is generally 4.7GB
So,if you have much to copy,use a DVD.0 -
95% of all in car cd players note the word "CD" will play 1 or 2 types of cd.
1. standard cd, aka music cd's you buy or you make using nero and the music cd option.
2. data mp3 cd, if they are mp3 cd compatible, you can create 2 different types standard CDR or a CDRW but it must be a standard single burn not a multiburn like windows cd burning.
no in car cd player will play dvd's unless its a in car dvd player.
Jo4, ask for make and model of the cd player should be on the front should be easy for a google search, or ask does it have mp3 written on the front.0
