I didn't know what this was until I received an email from ebay saying my account had been suspended for 7 days. By the end of the 7 days I can to appeal against it.
My brother had been bidding on my ebay account and I stupidly didn't realise why. How would you deal with this? I am so mad about this and he hasn't even apologised for what's happened.

All you can do is appeal, and apologise profusely, when given the opportunity.

Give your brother a good smacking for compromising your account. If he has one too, that will no doubt also be suspended.

I take it he used YOUR account to bid the price up on HIS items?
CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD
And explain honestly to Ebay, appologise and tell them you have changed your password and hope for the best...

He did use my account to bid on a number of his items. I have apologised to Ebay and I'm waiting for a reply.

Don't let him have your password and, if you share a computer or he has access to yours, make sure all log in information is deleted on exit.

Log out whenever leaving the computer and don’t use any “save password” options or automated log on options.

Most of my accounts are set for automatic log in as it saves time and effort but I don’t have an irritating brother.

Well I do actually. Two of them in fact but they both live 250 miles away.

eBay will make you take a test on shill bidding before they reinstate you.

I received an email from Ebay last night saying that my account has been reinstated, my brother has been kicked off Ebay.

there was a dude on the money program special on ebay, he'd put up a car for sale but fell in love with it during the auction and bid on it himself! he got suspended during the filming of a prime-time show on national TV!!

i dont understand their policies, i was a victim of blatent shill bidding and they did nothing, but they randomly suspend people who have just made innocent mistakes
