Average payout for whiplash in NI is about £9,000 so yes, if you were injured, then it's worth pursuing.0

I was told it has all been reduced now £9000 is a lot of money may have to think longer about this one just wondered if anyone had a sucessful claim recently .~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. If you're from Northern Ireland its in your blood, so go for it0

A better question in NI might be "has anyone NOT claimed for whiplash?"0

There is a tendency to regard whiplash as a joke. It is until it happens to you.
About 15 years ago someone racing home on a Friday afternoon, in a 30 mph zone, ran straight into the back of the car I was in. They knocked the car up the road like a billiard ball. Was unconscious for a few minutes, felt very shaky. Got a taxi home, thought have a warm bath. Couldn't get out of the bath!! That was the start of it. Apart from the obvious, shoulder neck, moving arms, intermittent stabbing pains up from my heels that got worse the further I tried to walk. It was like knitting needles being shoved up through my heel. It was so bad I often had to phone for a taxi. It took years to sort out and I never fully recovered.
Whip lash can be a very serious injury. I think it would be easy enough to tell if someone was faking it.
Two things I would plead.
1 Kill your speed when driving. Nothing is that urgent.
2 Keep a good distance between yourself and the person in front.[STRIKE]Less is more.[/STRIKE] No less is Less.0 -
Seems to be that some do take the p i agree that its not funny i am still on medication because of a nerve in my head affected by my neck which in turn affected my eye and gave me shooting pains up my head ...so i know how anyone who has been hit from behind and hurt this way feels i agree Insurance here is a joke and yes maybe thats why but if you are hurt what do you do ?~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature.
