You can get a discount, but only on the sewerage part of your bill as they allow a percentage of the water you use, if you have a pool, as not being returned to the sewer. You need to write to your water authority and ask for the form. I'm with Anglian Water and the sewerage charge on my bill is 36% of the water used as opposed to the usual 90% of the water used if you don't have a pool.

I used to work at a large Olympic Swimming pool occasionally.
The management always complained that they were billed to take the water initially, the billed again when they emptied the pool.

The complaint was that they had to clean the water coming in, and make it suitable for swimming in, then they had to clean it again to prepare it for release when emptying the pool.

Basically, cleaning the water and the getting a huge bill for it.

I think it best not to tell them anything and avoid a meter.

You have posted 30+ times all promoting your product that will not save the majority of people any money.

Also even if it did you should not be posting here.

Then maybe someone should invent a waste meter ;)

Measure what comes in and what goes out - fair to everyone then.

there actually used to be a device called a waste meter although it wasnt used for waste water. it was used for detecting leakage within the water networks and there used to be a massive paper disc that used to sit on top with a lie detector type reader. superb peice of kit

sorry for drifting of the subject
