PlusNet deleted my account & emails

Long story short: plusnet mistakenly changed my account type then instead of restoring it to the previous state they deleted the account entirely along with years of emails and left me with no internet connection. After many calls, txt's & emails their only offer is to create a new account. Any suggestions?

Ask them if the old data can be restored. They must have backups, but whether or not your data is still on one of them, and it is accessible by them, is another question.
Bit late in your case, but never rely on your data being stored in just one place with no backup.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Thanks for the suggestion. So far it appears they have no back-up of anything but then it's not clear if they have even tried restoring.
Re personal back-up's, good advice. Not so easy when emails have to be accessed from multiple places & devices. I had thought my usual email client (Thunderbird) was actually downloading msg bodies but discovered only yesterday that wasn't true.0 -
Lodge a complaint man. If anything they should give you some form of recourse. Ask to be put through to their complaints department and dont give in.0

Thanks for the replies. I'm happy to report Plusnet finally got their act together and recovered my account and emails :-)0
