    Hi Bunny and all,

I'm feeling a bit down today. I don't know why but it is proving a struggle to be positive. So I'm having a little pity party and spent 66p on a Creme Egg and a bag crisps as a treat to cheer myself up a bit. I am currently having a staring competition with the Creme Egg who is saying "Eat me. Eat me now!", but I want to hold off as long as possible so that I reeeeaaaaaaaaaalllllllly enjoy it when I do break. Yes, I'm crazy. I'm talking about a fondant filled chocolate egg like it has a personality.

    On the DFW front ...
    Direct Line Car Insurance
Phoned them re my letter from December. They told me they had written off the outstanding debt. A saving of £1.46 to me. :p

    Credit Card Debt
Received my M&S card yesterday, activated it this morning and transferred my egg balance across. So instead of 16.9% I will now be at 3.9% for the life of balance. It actually means my minimum payments will go up though as minimum monthly payment is 3% rather than 2% on my egg card. But I think this is OK - with savings elsewhere and income from selling my belongings I should manage without difficulty, and it will help me focus on paying it off.

    Virgin PPI
Think I am going to hold off on sending the letter to Virgin re PPI. Asked for advice on the loans forum and they say I was not mis-sold. I think they may be right. I don't really want to claim the whole amount back because I DID sign the agreement, but I do think the letter indicates that I should be able to cancel the insurance and get a "refund" on the premiums already paid for the next two years - I don't think it necessarily indicates a "lump sum" refund but perhaps as a reduction in the monthly payments.

So that's my update for today. The Creme Egg is still staring at me.

Nooo............ I WILL resist..... It is still staring at me from the shadows between my books and my computer monitor. It's metalic wrapper is glistening and it asks to be unwrapped. But I will be strong. It will taste so much better in the end. :D

Go on... eat it!!! Then tell me how lovely it tastes (I'm on a diet)

I'm afraid if it were here it would be like this..... :EasterBun

Have you had anymore thoughts on telling DH? It's weird cos my BF and I haven't actually talked about it yet face to face, only via email!!

    You're still doing really well...x

Sorry Tigz. Didn't eat it so can't tell you how good it was :) I love your I chocolate rabbit eating smiley :)

I resisted to the end of the day, and when I return to work tomorrow it will still be there and I will still look forward to eating it :) My office mate has dubbed this "The Creme Egg Challenge". So the plan is now to see how long I can make it last.

I love Creme Eggs and have been known to eat a box a 6 in quick succession so I am surprised to have lasted this long. This is my first one of the year as well...

Anyway, back to money stuff ... I want to tell OH very much, but I am finding it extremely difficult. He knows I have been selling stuff, he knows I now have a piggy bank, he knows I have changed bank accounts so he must know that something is going on in my financial world! But I'm going to stop stressing about telling him for a little while. I have decided to at least wait until 23rd March when all the payments for loans and bills have been paid and see what my debt is then. And then I'll take it from there. If it's gone down enough to make me happy I will feel more positive about telling him and he can see what efforts I've been making. If it hasn't gone down as much as I want then ... we'll see. But I'm going to stop stressing and worrying about telling him for the next couple of weeks. It's not good for me!

Good plan. Don't put the pressure on yourself, like you say, it's not good for you! Let me know if/when you decide to tell him.

I really want a Creme Egg now.....!!!!

    Hi oneday!!

I have just read through your thread and wanted to say a massive :T for everything that you have done so far, you are taking very positive steps and deserve a pat on the back (and a Creme Egg :D ).

Re. your PPI - I know you have posted on the loans board already, but it may also be worth starting a new thread on this board with your question in it... loads of people on here have had PPI to deal with so you may find you get a lot of responses to your query... until you are ready to tell your OH always remember you can come on here and chat to us and we are here to listen.

    Keep Positive * xx *
