many posters declare their afiliation in a signature
Er... so it's an "affiliation" now?
I don't think anyone here should have to put their job in a signature in order to pre-empt personal attacks of "belatedly" revealing alleged "vested interests".
I can see now why most people don't reveal what they do.
I'm a lawyer involved in compliance. Wanna have a go at me too? Afterall, I have mentioned this very late on..0 -

I used to state a part of my employment history in my signature line.I don't think anyone here should have to put their job in a signature
I got some vile PMs, combined with some extreme reactions to stuff I'd posted too.
I don't actually have any problem with somebody disagreeing with what I post. I have the right to respond. Hell, I've even changed my mind on stuff occasionally.
But I was quite shocked at some of the abuse I took a couple of years back. It seems I caused the Credit Crunch, subsequent recession and pocketed £millions in annual bonuses along the way.0 -

Even if you don't work for a bank, you still get an astonishing amount of people claiming you must do if you don't side with every idiot wanting all their bank charges back because they didn't check their balance.urs sinserly,
