Thats right, BUT, the OP's card issuer has declined to help with a dispute, and they say they are now claiming under Section 75 through Lloyds and that Lloyds have declined to help with this also. There is obviously a reason for this.

Without the TRUE story, it's no good advising someone to go down the Small Claims route. If the OP needs help with their options they should provide more information.
I sure we are all well aware that only OP knows whether he has a case or not. As I said:A:
OP has been ecconomical with the facts.
As has been explained, IF the goods were not of merchantable quality then LTSB are jointly liable for refund

I do not agree with your assumption
There is obviously a reason for this.
This is not necessarily true. In my experience LTSB will try to fob off genuine claims from their customers.

You might disagree with what i say BUT, Lloyds must have a reason as to why they have told the OP that they can't deal with this. I'm not making assumptions, i deal with this type of query every day in my job.

You still haven''t said why you think the OP should go through Small Claims Court ?

Oh so you are somewhat belatedly, declaring a vested interest. We all know banks never make mistakes, are sweaky clean and scrupiously honest :rotfl:

I did not say OP should go through small claims court. I said what I would do, IF I felt I had a valid case. In my experience, sometimes the only way to get attention from bank functionaries is to escalate the case to a complaint. The threat of FOS and small claims court can expedite the desired response.

As we are all agreed. Only the OP knows whether he has a valid complaint and thus if his bank has a case to answer.

Very true, it is quite frustrating to get half a story. It seems OP may be a one post wonder but lets be nice to newbies and give him/her the benefit of the doubt.

Lloyds probably had him hunted down. Don't mess with the big boys.

Er... so what are posters meant to do? Everytime they make their first post in a thread declare what they do in case they have a "vested interest"?

meer53 has said in a number of other threads that (s)he works for a CC, MBNA I think.

Oh not really a vested interest then - working for a competitor. (Unless of course all CCs conspire together.)

I think it's jolly decent that there are insiders who despite being on CCs for their day job are willing to contribute on the same topic in their leisure time.
