prodding the surveyor ?

Options
before i make a tit of my self with the surveyor.

im finally waiting on the surveyor to provide a transcript of his home buyers report to my bank to approve my mortgage

my bank informs me this was done on friday and that the only thing i can do now is phone the surveyors (as it can take up to 5 working days) and ask them to hurry up - i have 2 issues 1 is that surveyor isnt working for me and 2 - i think he is well within his rights to tell me to Eff off.

is it acceptable to phone the surveyor for a timescale to give to the vendor? (who he is working for )

Knowing they have a 5 working day timescale I would wait 5 working days at least before nagging them!

i think your right tbh its not in my nature to be rude which is what i would consider the above to be - esp when they can make life really hard for me ;)

    - its not the surveyors have a 5 working day time scale its that the bank allows them 5 working days to reply if that makes any difference,

Ignore. Just found out the property is in Scotland and it's a retype of a Home Report not a homebuyer's.

sorry kingstreet , it was done in scotland and we are waiting for an official transcript from the surveyor which was done as part of the home buyers report to be sent to them electronically as the website that it was supplied to me via is no good apparently.

Give them a chance they inspected on Friday and along with other inspections that day ad no doubt Monday they need to transcribe it and check it before issuing it.

I'd prod, all they are doing is emailing a document which is a job being carried by support staff. It should take someone no more than 2 mins.

However, I also read your initial OP and thought they'd inspected on Friday and you were chasing on Tuesday, which would definitely be out of order.

Email is easy it's the getting it done part! To many assume it's one survey a day
