Mobiles.co.uk - Claiming Money Back

Hiya, I haven't signed up with them! But was looking at their deals.
It seems very easy to claim money back from reading their page on 'how to claim money back', Bills can be scanned and sent online, and I scan my bills every month anyway and keep them on file along with t&c's
Is this a scam and is it like getting blood out of a stone to get them to actually pay you?
Also, is it really as easy as scanning bills, sending them to the email address provided, and you get paid, or is there sneaky t&c's? I have read some bad reviews on here, but have to take in account people don't generally go on about good reviews as much, so they may very well have customers who love the company. I have never had any dealings with the Carphone Warehouse, so I don't know how good/bad they are!
I want to do m research first
I'm currently with 3 and have been since I was 15 (Dad signed over contract to me when I turned 18!) so roughly 7 years, and my I dropped my phone and it smashed, okay my fault! I hold my hands up to that one. I told them my phone was broke (I don't have insurance!) and they tried to sell me a new one! I had a Xperia X10, and said I wanted something like that. The only thing they had was the Xperia arc.... for 440 quid - I have since found many sites selling that phone for 200 quid
Didn't buy it and stuck with my crappy phone - which has encouraged me to look for a better contract.
Any thoughts or answers?

mobiles.co.uk cashback scam -- small claims? trading standards? watchdog?
They seem to have improved recently, but just a couple of months ago they were in a serious mess.0 -

Thanks for the links.
Can someone tell me, are they really as bad as people make out? And is it really that easy as sending bills in?0 -
One way or another, I always get paid. So do those I order for. However, I always ensure there is no way they could get away without paying (subject to Bankruptcy!). If you do everything right (and that means more than just sending in the right bills at the right times in the right ways) they are as safe as any dealer - and safer than most. That's because should they decide not to pay for any reason you can sue and get the money - provided you've followed the groundrules. If you don't, then it's a case of hoping they pay as they should.
CPW clones have a LONG history of having periods of paying without problems BUT also have substantial periods when they choose not to. From my (vast) experience I would say the former outnumber the latter - but you simply cannot predict when each such period will occur. After a few months of chaos (which this time was caused by uttter incompetence after a "reorganisation") they appear to be improving again. That does not mean they won't go the other way at the drop of a hat when it suits.0 -
Hi, Just looking for a bit of advice really. I've just taken out a contract with mobiles.co.uk for HTC One S. I had a proper look at how to claim the cashback and I got it all straight in my head. I then received an email from them entitled 'IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Your Cheque Back Offer' which explained to me how to claim. However, it said I had to send the claim forms to a different address than their website says, and also it told me to send them back one month earlier than it had said on their website. After a little bit of searching I discovered this was in-fact the cashback terms of their sister site e2save!
My questions therefore are, in your opinions:
1. Which one should I follow?
2. Should I do the claims through the link where you can upload them on their website or should they be sent in physical form?
Thank you for all your help in advance. Much appreciated.0 -

Log into your mobiles.co.uk or e2save account, need order ID and email address. From here you can print cashback dates and find out what dated bills need to be sent via email or post. Always use this.
Also send the invoice within a week or as soon as possible, in case of problem you can resend as you have 60 days.
Follow the account, you cant go wrong.0 -

You prove (yet again) all that I have been saying. My last post on my guide tells you what you should be doing:-
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/558661
The guide itself goes into more detail about how you SHOULD be using cashback contracts - or whether you should at all, for that matter.0 -
I have found the my account under e2save or mobiles.co.uk easy to follow and use.
I think some people are either trying to be god of cashback or making it sound harder than it is. 60 days to send the bill is enough for most people and correct the mistake if required.0 -
Tell that to the many people who've had to sue CPW companies over the last few years in order to get their money when they followed the proper t&c.0
