Maybe they think people buy Tesco clothes with tags on ebay for a lower price and try to exchange them to get more money.

Thats true. I once returned a few items WITH THE RECEIPT. When i got home. i noticed they had refunded the full price - twice what i had paid.

This week i received an item with no receipt in the parcel. I tried to return in store (with an order print out showing the price piad - as customer service told me to do) - but they refused, due to people trying it on.

As for Tesco - i was a regular customer for many years - but i have now boycotted my local store for over a year. They refused to accept a coupon out of the tesco magazine and insisted all coupons be checked by the manager - which took 25 minutes.

I only buy online or pop into a different tesco when there are unmissable points offers on.

Tesco's loss is Sainsburys gain. It was nice to see this was Tesco's first bad trading year out of the lest 16. I blame the old trouts on the tills and CS desks. Sainburys customer service as been A1 so far.

Tesco have a habit of charging full price on things that are on offer. I always check my receipt when I shop with them as I ALWAYS get charged more for something that I've bought. I wonder how much extra money they rake in with the people who don't realise they have been over charged.

OH likes Tesco cheese rolls so always wants to nip round to Tesco Express. I refuse to shop at the 24/7 Tesco shed though.

Yes its been mentioned before about tesco and the offers and the 2 items have to be the same. Bit naughty the advertising doesn't say you cant mix and match.

Exact same thing happened to me with yoghurt on a "buy any 2 for £3" deal. An excellent deal IMHO as tesco mag has £1 off £3 yoghurt spend that can be used with this making it an attractive buy 2 for £2

I picked up two different packs right next to each other on the shelf and both labelled "ANY 2 for £3" but was charged £1.80 each. !So after coupon i spent 2.60 but should have been just £2

CS wouldnt help as they said each one was on a separate £3 deal but head office apologised and said theyd send a £5 gjftcard to cover the difference and inconvenience

So I'm going to pick up another magazine next time i'm in to get another coupon!and making sure that i dont mix and match this time i'll get two more packs of yoghurt for £2. That leaves £3 which i could use to buy another 2 packs if i want.!

Thanks in advance for my 4 free yoghurt packs, Tesco. I know you're not doing this out of the goodness of your heart though. I'm well aware my refund is paid out of the profits of all the people you duped wbo didnt check their receipts

  • I've got to go back today as they had a whole display of ready meals 2 for £5, but, you've guessed it the discount didnt come off!

I think if they refuse to honour any offers, go straight to trading standards....also is there a governing body that oversees supermarkets? If there is, then it would be worth going straight to them...( trading standards are locally based, so i dont know where they stand on picking up complaints in other parts of the country)

I very rarely go to tesco now... even though there is a new opened up about 2 minutes away, practically right next door to the co-op..... I allways go to the co-op....for bits and pieces, even though people think they are more expensive.... but at least i have NEVER been over charged.... what you see is what you pay....

I also do some bulk buying in bookers ( when the prices work out cheaper than the supermarkets) and i also get a home delivery from Asda every few weeks...

I used to be a good loyal tesco customer....( especially in the old couponing days) but now i find them expensive.... and...well ......boring:rotfl:

Might be worth contacting the supermarket/grocery trade mag
https://www.thegrocer.co.uk and ask them to investigate.

2 things wind me up in our local tesco
    1. when you go through the express till you cant be trusted to scan yr own 5p shopping bag - you have to ask a member of staff for one. Sainsbury is fine.

2 Green clubcard points - they have stopped giving them in wales yet if u shop online u still get them, sainsburys still give them
