I've read through most of the posts and can't see if my pint is valid I recieved a fine for underpaying by 1hr 34 mins. But they have spelt. My surname wrong completely on the fine can I ignore the fine on that basis in case they did decide to take me to court. Surely they can't persue me if my name is wrong?

Why on earth would you want to look for a valid point against a bunch of utter scammers?

This ticket is quite meaningless - Ignore PE totally and check the letter chain sticky to see what to expect next.

They will not do court!

If they bother sending any more letters (they sometimes do and sometimes don't) there will be a debt recovery letter and then a couple of fake solicitors letters. After that they will get fed up of wasting their own money posting you letter and give up. See if you collect the full set of letters!

you dont do a thing,, you ignore,ignore and ignore some more,, its a scam not a fine only police and traffic wardens can issue,,,penalty charge notice,,, =legit,,what you have from parking spy/lie is,,a PARKING charge notice,,=scam,,unenforceable invoice,,so nothing, absolutely nothing can be done to you,despite threat o grams you will recieve from,,,p.e.,,roxburghe debt collectors(zero powers) and the phoney soilicitor,,,graeme white,,what you can do is suimply read the stickies and you will then relax and deffo,,ignore.

You're taking it far too seriously. As has been referred to already private companies can not issue fines so you haven't had a fine, you've had a letter begging for money. Private companies can only seek to recover a "reasonable pre-estimate of losses suffered" so in theory they could take you to court to recover the cost of the one and a half hours you didn't pay for but it's unlikely they'll pay out thousands of pounds in legal fees to recover a couple of quid.

Ignore this but remember in future to make sure you pay the correct amount to keep the scammers from harrassing you again.

Well done buddy. The worst thing you can do is to contact them, whatever the reason. A high percentage of people have got wise to these scamming crooks and ignore them, so they are used to it.

And don't forget to advise all your friends to do the same with any begging letters they may get!

Mrs theHibby is currently ignoring Parking Lie for the second time. She got 3 letters last time (initial, follow-up and final). They are easily ignored.

They must love you -- I only got 2
